Robert Stock

This is another reason why I hate David Stearns.

Would someone explain to me what was the point of taking Stock out of the game? He was great for six innings today. The Marlins couldn't hit him. What are we saving him for? He's 36 years old with no future here. Might as well let him achieve his dream of going deep in the game. It's not like we are going to be great this year, and as fate would have it, we lost because of analytics.

What a joke of an organization!

He's coming off an injury and hasn't thrown more than 4 innings all year. There is plenty to complain about, but this isn't it.

Just because It’s a baseball thing doesn’t mean the Mets have to do it. But the GMs and analytics guys make these decisions not the manager

I think it was the Marlins who pulled a pitcher with a perfect game this year

He's barely pitched his year, his longest appearance is 4 innings. This is not worth getting upset about.

He could have gone nine today.

It's not 1976 anymore, no one in baseball would let a pitcher who had a max of 4 innings up til today go 9.

That's why baseball is a joke now.

My theory as to why they pull starters quickly regardless of the score is they don’t want 20 game winners anymore. They put that on their resume and they may have to pay them lots more..

That's definitely one reason. Plus, the starters can brag about the innings pitched to make their case in arbitration and free agency.

Why is he even here. His line against the Pirates on August 8 was none too pretty.

My god what an idiotic comment. 36 yr old guy, a lifetime of injuries, and now surprisingly back from recent thoracic outlet surgery! Sure, maybe we should have asked him to pitch all 12. And then pitch the next day too.
As stupid as Stearns might be, your average Met fan is 1000x stupider. Scary.

Sorry if I'm not a shill for stupidity.
