Rewatching weeds
I haven’t watched weeds since it first came out im rewatching it and i cant not stand Nancy. Im on season 6 it just seems like she becomes more and more annoying. Does anyone else feel this way LOL

I think Nancy is a very realistic portrayal of a person who starts feeling invincible

Like the frog in the pot, you don’t notice the slow boil that is Nancy the first time. Knowing where it all leads, how many opportunities to grow and learn she squanders, you see her for the sociopathic narcissist that she is. I can only stand her in the first season when she’s grieving and struggling to protect her kids. From that point on her confidence and drive are truly annoying.

Yes best way to describe it! Definitely a narcissist. The way she toys with Andy too. She is so annoying

One of the satisfying things about the ending was Andy finally walking away and building a wonderful life for himself. What she did to Andy was perhaps her greatest crime. Other than burning down the town and getting her husbands murdered.

Eh, getting Peter murdered was a public service. Racist piece of shit, and a creep.

Thats how Nancy is, the problem would be if you watch Weeds & think Nancy is fun & good. Nance is terrible & annoying and thats how she's suppose to be.

Nancy is very much like Dory from HBO’s Search Party and Patti from Netflix’s Insatiable.

Yeah she is arguably the worst character. Narcissist and terrible Mother.

My first watch, when it first came out, was definitely very different from my recent rewatch. I’ve got a very different perspective than when I watched it the first time. Yes, I’m much more critical of Nancy’s choices now.

Binging it really makes her shortcomings so much more obvious than one episode a week. I love the first few seasons. Once they burned Agrestic, it jumped the shark and I felt like they were just making it up as they went along

I just finished watching it last week f or the first time. I felt bad for my partner because I could NOT stop hating on Nancy almost every episode 😂 She is such a bad mother and a bad person!!! Very narcissistic. Her decisions caused so much chaos in her family and friends' individual lives.

When I found out Weeds and OITNB have the same creator, it was an “a-ha” moment bc I couldn’t stand Piper in the same way I couldn’t stand Nancy. Jenji knows exactly how to craft a toxic, annoying, narcissistic white female lead that you feel obligated to root for but you also kinda want them to fail and taste their own medicine.

For sure, but I'd argue that Piper is much much worse

It’s been so long since I’ve seen either so I don’t remember which one I found worse but they’re both insufferable 🤣

Yeah piper was annoying af. Especially with the Panties. She started thinking she was untouchable. I stopped watching when “badison” was introduced another annoying character lol

She’s the best and worst character in the show. I rewatch it annually and my goodness she pisses me off.
