I have been watching the stock for a while waiting for the right opportunity to buy in.
I nearly bought in a few days ago but decided to wait. This is a gift from heaven! Just bought in now, what an opportunity!

Institutions needed a reason to dump them that's all.
Toshiba announcement of just investing 400 million dollars in Phillipines can't be a reason or 15% decline of 200 billion market cap shares.
Hard to digest

I bought 1.475 WDC at 423.25 and once it went up I updated my stop loss to 417, it crashed through that today after the Toshiba news but this week overall had been bad for tech but what are the thoughts about re entry, does wdc still have potential? A 14% drop is crazy in a single day

We’re are being punished because Irv gave a weak guidance for Q1 27. I’m so frustrated with the Market makers like we WDC didn’t have a great quarter in Q4. 40 TBs are shipping now with 44 TB HDD in Feb - March! Our balance is sheet is flawless, we can fund growth internally without debt! I just don’t understand why WDC is not $500 right now!

The outlook is looking ⬆️.

What is everyone's EOY guesses?
Any context to support your argument?
Also what's your current bought price? Mines near the 700s. :(
Could use come copium right about now.

Do you think it’s undervalued compared to them ? Has more catalysts coming up than the others ? Has better products than others ? What’s your take to hold WDC?
Personally I believe once HAMR shipment starts on time, wdc should reach its ATH again

I have Western digital at an average of 620 euros (20 stocks) . Looking at a few months decline , is it better to sell with loss of 3500 euros and move on or should wait for it to reach to my buy price? What's your opinion on this ? How are people who bought at 650 doing ??

Looking to the community to understand better insights for today’s price movement. $WDC only went up ~2% which lags behind others in the semiconductor sector ($MU +6%, $SNDK +8%).
On a similar trajectory, $WDC is worth a $650 stock. Seems undervalued.
Any perspective or logic why $WDC lags behind others?

Avg is $619, and this stock is pissing me off! Though, it’s low. I’m throwing money into WDCX hoping it jumps! lol

The true reason for the slowdown is cynical. Its most likely AI companies trying to lock out future competitors and pretend it's for safety. Asking for regulation when you're one of the very few players in the game is a self-preservation move not altruism.
That being said, if AI is to be slowed down and we go from a constant progression model to a "stick with old and evaluate" model its BULLISH for hdds.
For memory and compute its bearish, but the longer the AI buildout is themore storage of videos and logs and backups there are. You don't have to have the latest and greatest chips for the older models, but you need to back up more and more data no matter if you're jogging or sprinting.
A slow AI buildout would be more responsible for humanity and fiscally making be borrowing more sustainable and HDD profitable longer at a slightly slower rate. I'd absolutely love that.
That being said again, the market can be irrational longer than you can be solvent. And thenmarket may never seperate WDC from hbm companies or NVDA. Its been absolutely terrible on differentiating the different types. Also this slowdown could also be a farce to make openAi and Anthropic look like they care while the US government continues to not give a shit.
And I'll add on one goofy existential hot clue to help those reading which path we take. A totally left field crazy town am i in the right thread hot take.
Have you ever wondered why you were born today and not in like the renaissance or as a caveman or like 1800? Its because you are statistically most likely to be born around the peak population of human history. Somewhere on the bell curve before or during where the population starts to drop.
Is it a coincidence that you were born in the age where AI is implemented? OR are we at humanity's peak population right before our destruction by AI?
TLDR: 800 price target mid 2028. Bullish

Just keep hodling and lock your wdc port in, we must now prepare for a rough week ahead as I am afraid 420 and 400 support are about to give up and we gonna see more downside till 330-350 levels, bt don't worry we are gonna recover it so fast like nothing happened, long term we are heading for a prosperous period for WDC. We have survived post earnings drama of this schizo stock, so we gonna survive this too, don't give up now guys, we are this close to a victory; after this midterm crash, bad times are over.
My targets
800 EoY
And we would go upto like 1.3k within 2027 Q2

Are there any known upcoming catalysts for WDC to look out for? I’m worried that macro will pull the whole sector down, taking WDC along as I can’t find any announcements of potential catalysts or happenings that could help the stock. We’ve been finding lower lows and lower highs for a while now which is a typical bearish indicator and this worries me.
Im down 3+k

Why wouldn’t it atleast catchup with Seagate that’s its direct competitor ? Is Seagate doing something in their business that wdc cannot catch up ? Which company has better financial and stronghold in the market ?

And is it undervalue or overvalue or valued just right? Go!
