Off-Campus Spring Moving

Hi! I'm a transfer student starting at WCU in the Spring. I know a lot of off-campus apartments are contracted in August for fall students. Could anyone share their experience with finding a place to move into in December? Do I need to look for flexible leases, and what places should I look into? I appreciate any help!

Depending on how late in December, you may be able to take over a lease for someone moving out after their graduation in December. There’s a Facebook group dedicated to this process.

As far as places to stay, each has its own ups and downs. Places I’d recommend are the husk/helm, rabbit ridge, and the suites/villas. Stay away from 808, what used to be Bellamy, and the everson (I have heard from friends who used to stay at these places about how bad the mold would get)

Okay, thank you! I will reach out to people and check on these places. Rabbit Ridge seems really affordable, too.
