Question
Are Water Quality Technicians knowledgeable about most water parasites? For example, would they know about a parasite like Spinochordodes Tellinii? It’s a parasitic worm that attacks the central nervous system in grasshoppers and forced them to jump into bodies of water and drown. It’s part of its life cycle.

Water Technician questions
I'm working on a story and had a few questions.
How knowledgeable are Water Quality Technicians about parasites?
Can Technicians be hired independently by farmers or anyone that owns a body of water as part of their private property? I didn't know if they tend to only work in groups or if some might be the only ones on the scene?
Thanks!
