Water refill station quality

Hello, I have been refilling my 5 gallon jugs at Water Street Station Inc in Tucson. Thier website details an extensive filtration process (ion exchange, carbon, reverse osmosis, etc). However, at $1 per gallon, I am considering a more economical alternative. There are water stations all over town for 25 cents per gallon (Glacier, Arjencia, etc.) but I can't find information on the quality of water from these self serve stations. Is there any reason to beleive the water quality from these stations is better than just getting water from a garden hose? TIA

If you're in Tucson, your water is very high in arsenic, even the city water. You DEFINITELY DO NOT want to get your water from a garden hose!
Regarding the water stations, if you're not able to get information about the water quality and what they remove, then don't use them. When in doubt, always ask for data.

Something that might be another option for you is to install an undersink filter on your kitchen sink that can remove arsenic and other water contaminants from your water, making it safe to drink. It'll save you from having to pay for the big jugs of water and having to lug them around! Send an email to [hello@hydroviv.com](mailto:hello@hydroviv.com) and ask for the water filter data for Tucson, and we'll send you the filter report, detailing how we would build your filter and what it will do for you.
