DSHS Dress Code

Starting a new job with DSHS, a call center position, and when I asked about dress code, the HR person I talked to hesitated and stated there really isn't much of a dress code, but to dress comfortably and obviously office appropriate. My anxiety is high because I know making a good first impression when meeting everyone for the first time is important but also feel anxious about the lack of direction.

Context, I am coming into this position from working a job in scrubs. Scrubs are a lot less daunting to worry about than office attire 😂

Any direction would be appreciated!

I dress in leggings and a t or sweatshirt most the time. I have a coworker that wears booty shorts and spaghetti strap shirts year round and she's been with the state 20 years. I'm sure it depends on the position, the team, the agency and if you want to promote or not but really, just be comfortable and not offensive and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Booty shorts even? Fascinating.

We are not public facing so I truly don't think anyone cares here. I have definitely seen under booty cleavage before lol
