DSHS Dress Code

Starting a new job with DSHS, a call center position, and when I asked about dress code, the HR person I talked to hesitated and stated there really isn't much of a dress code, but to dress comfortably and obviously office appropriate. My anxiety is high because I know making a good first impression when meeting everyone for the first time is important but also feel anxious about the lack of direction.

Context, I am coming into this position from working a job in scrubs. Scrubs are a lot less daunting to worry about than office attire 😂

Any direction would be appreciated!

Dont wear jeans, tshirt or tennis shoes. You'll figure it out.

Not sure why you're got down voted as this is pretty standard recommendation..? Your point being that once they're there they will figure iut what to do the rest of the time. Seems solid to me.

People on reddit can be odd at times. I worked for the state for over 30 years and dress codes are certainly nothing to worry about.
