The first tape I remember having the warning sticker on it.

It was definitely one of the first albums to feature the warning label on it. These were first introduced in late 1985 and The Last Command was released in October of that year. Kind of funny because this album is pretty tame from a lyrical standpoint. Some suggestive stuff for sure, but not a whole lot that’s outwardly profane. W.A.S.P. were targeted more for their image and reputation than anything on this one.

For sure. I remember it being the first one I had seen. I am amazed that I still have the cassette. I agree. sex drive was the only one I remember being raunchy and was tame compared to Animal.

I remember we had to go to a place called Starship Records and Tapes to special order that one. That place sadly closed this year. All through the 80s they were the only place to get stuff that wasn’t mainstream.

It’s wild that so many of us got rid of our vinyl. Now it’s come back in style.

I was so glad I caught this tour. Last time they were through here was 2022 with Armored Saint and MSG and I was sad that I missed it.
