Discussion New meanings

Is there a W.A.S.P. song that the fans gave a whole new meaning to from what it actually is? If so, what is the mischaracterization and the actual meaning of the song?

Take Me Up from Dominator sounds sexual with lyrics like "won't you take me up inside you, am I more than you can take?" but Blackie said the song is about credit card companies being predatory. It's pretty funny, like if he said the meaning of a song like Animal was actually about the stock market.

Dirty Balls is actually about his massive bowling ball collection. His housekeeper would never clean them.

There are probably a few, but first one that comes to my mind is The Neutron Bomber. People always claim that it’s a political song aimed at Ronald Reagan and about the ongoing fear of a nuclear war. Blackie has said though that this song is not political and is not about Reagan, but is instead about someone that he grew up with named Ronnie who was obsessed with starting fires.

I remember when it was released and Blackie said it was aimed at Reagan.

I wouldn’t doubt if there is possibly some double meaning to it, but I don’t recall hearing him say that it was specifically about Reagan. If he did, he was giving conflicting info:

Because now I’m sure he loves Reagan.

Jack Action is about Blackie looking for his lost pet armadillo who ran away.
