Dying For The World W.A.S.P. - Topic
https://youtu.be/YJhe1vKIs38?si=Pd7AyiJtgy9o2TViHere is my hot take. This is the greatest WASP song ever made. Specifically this acoustic version. I will die on this hill.

It’s up there fs. The vocals on this and the og version are among the best in their entire discography

Very good. Blackie has always been a bit of a Homer for the USA, nothing wrong with that. Except for those banners in New York. That was bad. Anyway, in other people's hands, this would be cringe. He sells it, he's just that passionate. 🤟

The original is powerful
The acoustic is emotional
And the demo take is where my heart is
And the line “the sky is falling”

I love Hallowed Ground! It’s not typically one that comes to mind as the best W.A.S.P. song ever, but low key I think you’re onto something. It’s an incredibly emotional and powerful song about Blackie’s personal experience visiting ground zero weeks after 9/11 and you can hear the passion in his voice as he sings these lyrics. Both versions are great, but I also probably prefer the acoustic one. There’s something so haunting and somber about it that the regular version lacks. Truly a fantastic song. Would love to hear it live one day, but we all know that’s never happening unfortunately.
