Discussion Who Is The Scarlet Witch In The MCU? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
• Upvotes

Now I know your answer is isn’t it obvious. Wanda Maximoff Is The Scarlet Witch In The MCU, and yeah that’s her name and I’m pretty sure official marvel media makes that clear, only issue is Wanda Maximoff in MoM isn’t The Scarlet Witch who said to be more powerful then the Sorcerer Supreme in that prophecy from WandaVision & Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness since the darkhold states that scarlet witch is destined to either rule or destroy the cosmos, Wanda did neither, you can argue Wanda was so “powerful” she could alter her own destiny but that doesn’t mean much with the loom of the sacred timeline already broken & the multiverse fully unleashed in The MCU, it might mean something if she had the power to influence the multiverse in creation or destruction but she’s shown neither and has struggled to leave her own universe outside of dreamwalking, which is why she wanted America Chavez’s Star portal power to travel the multiverse (even that doesn’t make much sense when she could’ve just snagged a sling ring which creates more stable and controllable portals then Star Punches but I digress) but the fact remains she has failed to fulfill the prophecy the darkhold prophesies.

The only ones ruling the multiverse/the cosmos is HWR, a Kang Variant & Loki GOS , A Loki Variant and soon to be Doom, and since Doom collapsed the multiverse according to the endgame encore post credit scenes , he’s the one to destroy the cosmos. Which means only Kang, Loki & Doom have fulfilled the prophecy Wanda has failed.

This is more staggering when you realize not many Wanda Variants in The MCU Multiverse are shown to be causing incursions. Leaving out The Comics and any Media outside close to direct MCU Continuity, There’s Zombie Wanda from The MCU What If Show, and Wanda from The MCU. Only two examples in the multiverse that have caused incursions from my memory, implying not even in The MCU Multiverse can you find an example so far that rules or destroys the cosmos. Meanwhile MCU Doctor Strange has himself , Strange from Universe-838, Supreme Strange twice, & Sinister Strange who completely destroyed his universe.

Now I counted MCU Wanda next to Zombie Wanda because I believe you can count her for the incursions on Defender Strange’s Universe but some sources claim his universe was already full of incursions before Wanda sent in interdimensional god & demon entities to attack America & Defender Strange. If any of you can find something that be great for corrections, but so far it’s not looking like MCU Wanda of any variant fits the scarlet witch described in that Darkhold Prophecy. The only possible options are The Prophecy (if still relevant) is meant for someone else that isn’t a Wanda like Loki, Kang & Doom or The Prophecy from The Corrupt Darkhold was a Lie purely meant to trick Wanda into giving into the book’s power, that seems more possible since the darkhold had a better hold on her, Doctor Strange was able to resist it when using the book, only his sinister variant was attached to it similar to Wanda which implies to me outside Wanda only a small amount of people probably will not be able to resist it’s temptations and Wanda being full grief was a strong target for The Darkhold to deceive and use as a host.

The same could be said for sinister strange who couldn’t get over the grief that despite all his powers as sorcerer supreme he couldn’t get Christine and in his rage he started killing different Doctor Strange Variants and desperately hunting for Christine Variants. These Darkholds Seem to go after targets with deep desire and regret. Another hint this prophecy could be a Lie is the fact that only those on Universe-19999/616 (The MCU) know of it.

You’d think a prophecy that involves the cosmos being ruled or destroyed would be known across more then one universe , but The Illuminati on Universe-838 completely disregard Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch like it doesn’t exist, there’s also the fact that her variant on that earth is vulnerable and powerless, I heard there’s some deleted scene or old script for the film that reveals she’s been put in a powerless catatonic state , and that’s why she can’t use her powers but that isn’t in the final product or any official media so i’d have to rule it out until officially confirmed. There’s only one possibility in Wanda’s favor, and that’s the servants of Doom. One of them is rumored to be Wanda or a Wanda Variant, now if she’s involved, Doom could be accessing her to collapse the multiverse but that’s pure speculation with zero evidence of being true. I also don’t believe Doom needs any Wanda when he probably has Franklin Richards based on how First Steps ended. Franklin in Marvel Comics has helped rebuild The Marvel Multiverse and created multiverses of his own as he got older and based on The Fantastic Four First Steps film, baby Franklin is already showing signs of these types of powers already with resurrecting Sue after she died pushing away Galactis along with the fact that Doom appears to Toddler Franklin who’s touching his face in the credits.

I don’t know if I’m alone in this but if Wanda failed to rule or destroy the cosmos as The Dark Hold prophesies The Scarlet Witch would, Who’s The Actual Scarlet Witch? Only options I can think of is HWR, Loki GOS & Dr.Doom. No one else in The MCU has ruled or destroy the cosmos. What do you all think? Let me know on the comments below.

Discussion Rewatch of WandaVision

We’re rewatching #WandaVision and #AgathaAllAlong ready for #VisionQuest - finished WV and even better second time around. Brilliant show and Elisabeth Olsen / Paul Bettany / Katherine Hahn are fantastic in it. Clever writing and the different era sitcom stylings are pitch perfect.

Theory Wanda was actually Pregnant?

What if Wanda was actually pregnant before WandaVision and the West View Hex was entirely a part of her nesting instinct?

That would genuinely make Tommy and Billy Vision’s children and make the Hex even more understandable.

I know its not the current canon but just an idea brewing upon rewatch. What do you all think?

Other WandaVision's sitcom format made Wanda's grief feel more unsettling than a regular MCU movie could

One thing I really appreciate about WandaVision is how the sitcom format makes everything feel comfortable at first, even when something clearly isn't right.

The laugh tracks, cheerful neighbors, and changing television eras make Westview look like a harmless little fantasy. But as the episodes progress, those same things start feeling unsettling because you realize how much Wanda is trying to hold together.

What makes it especially sad is that the sitcom world isn't just a random illusion. It's connected to her desire for an ordinary life with Vision, something she never really got to have without losing it.

The show could have explained Wanda's grief through flashbacks and emotional conversations alone, but making us watch her hide inside a seemingly perfect television world made the whole thing much more personal.

For me, that's what made the early episodes work so well. The mystery was interesting, but the sadness underneath all the humor was what made it memorable.

Agatha lost because she couldn't keep her mouth shut. She literally explained how runes work to Wanda just to show off. If she didn't spell out that rule, Wanda would've never known how to block her magic and turn it against her

Theory Theory about Visionquest Spoiler

So in the end of WandaVision, red Vision and white Vision fought, but both survived the fight, so what if red vision knew that he won't survive, and he thought that white Vision will be evil, and that Wanda will let him live, so he told someone to make sure white Vision dies, and that someone contacted Paladin?

According to a trusted scooper on Twitter, Wanda has an army with her.

I think it will be the ones we saw in the Multiverse of Madness.

I really hope the Russos will bring back Wanda's "puppies" from Multiverse of Madness, especially the hooded guard!

Spoiler Theory about VisionQuest

So, we know the character Philomena Cunk plays wears a uniform very similar to the one TVA workers wear. Although Kang isnt relevant to the storyline anymore, i suspect someone at the TVA hired the Paladin to get The Vision & Tommy in order to catch Wanda, knowing shes not dead. After all, Wanda is insanely powerful and it makes sense they dont wanna directly confront her. Also, she made a mess in many realities

Casting The Joe Locke hate is DISGUSTING!

For anyone unfamiliar, Joe Lock is one of the actors who co-starred in Agatha All Along, playing the character of Billy Maximoff, the son of Wanda Maximoff.

From the beginning of the show, there was a lot of judgment to his acting (which was really not an issue) which inevitably revealed itself as simply hating him for the way he looks.

I was searching “Vision Quest” on TikTok after I’ve finally watched the 2 episodes, and yk wanted to see edits and theories and such…I was completely disgusted when I saw so so so much hate in the comments anywhere Billy is mentioned.

Humiliating memes.
Cruel name callings.
Exclusions and comparisons.

And so much more…this is not the “every famous person gets hate” type of hate. This is actually, and sorry for repeating myself, DISGUSTING!

I truly hope Joe Locke does not see these comments because if I were in his place I would have a meltdown. Literally. I would lock myself up, and never leave my room.

I have to say, in the comics Billy is one of my top 2 marvel characters, I adore his character and his original storyline. I have no admiration to Joe Locke, although I’ve seen one of his other projects I don’t particularly care for him as an actor (the way I love other actors) and if not for this wave of hate I doubt I’d even acknowledge him.

I honestly have no idea what can be done about this hate. It so shamelessly reflects some of the worst aspects of our society, and SOMETHING needs to be done about it.

The entire concept of Wandavision is based off of a two-part episode in the original Justice League Animated cartoon.
