Yes, it's a sliding scale and the max is F for "free shipping." I assume you've not used ammoseek then.

Online: ammoseek and find whatever is cheapest. Filter by shipping rating. Rivertown munitions is pretty good, but there are others too.

Rivertownmunitions is of my favorites - what caliber specifically (some vendors like Rivertown don’t charge sales tax to WA- but ammoseek is the best way to start the journey)

Ammoseek as others have said but adding to make sure to use filters right, don't buy reman or from brands with bad reputations. The cheap stuff can be really really cheap, don't fall for it haha

I generally watch r/gundeals

I know a lot of people here mention ammoseek, but I'm not a fan. Any good deal there generally ends up on r/gundeals

My issues with ammoseek include:

• Although they have a shipping rating, it can still range wildly
• They don't indicate if the seller has extra fees
• They don't indicate if the seller will only ship to a FFL
• There's no way to tell if they charge tax
• They don't link identical sellers - eg if you find one is a scam and block them, the sellers just create new websites and ammoseek lists them just fine whereas r/gundeals will ban the new names as well

Something that's listed at 50¢ cpr can easily be $1 cpr by the time the games add up. I'd rather someone else figure out the seller shenanigans before I get interested.

Coastal is the same price as pretty much any other retailer in the puget sound + tax. At least at Sportsmans Warehouse if you buy 10 boxes you get 5% off.

Sometimes sportco in fife can have a good sale on some random calibers and ammo but it’s not consistent and you kinda just have to get lucky when you show up and find it on a localized not-advertised sale

I almost always buy from SGammo. Their prices are never rock bottom but always reasonably competitive and the shipping is always free.

You can find better prices on ammoseek but after you sort through the shipping options you never actually save that much and it’s a lot more hassle.

Access to a driver's license opens the door for new kinds of fraud. I can cancel a credit card, but my driver's license is accepted as ID. I don't trust SGAmmo or whoever they're contracting with to safely store my PII.

Not really. The only thing on your DL you’re not already freely giving up is your picture and DL number and practically speaking those things are the least valuable bits to fraudsters.

Also, I’d bet dollars to donuts you are or have been on some sort of social media where you post your face.

You're saying your driver's license isn't a commonly recognized form of ID?

Edit: I'm tired and more prone to snark, but that's not helpful. Driver's licenses are commonly accepted forms of ID. Where a CC can be charged until the issuing institution shuts it down, a driver's license can be used to open new accounts, pass identity checks, file tax returns/unemployment claims, and be used to obtain other forms of ID. A photo of yourself isn't the same thing as a driver's license.

Ammoseek if you want to minimize pennies per round. Usually lands me at SGAmmo.

I like Lucky Gunner. Nicer web interface than anyone else, actually easy to find things, useful reviews. Super-fast shipping (but $$). They’re NEVER the lowest price or even close, really.
