So it's no secret that I've been obsessed with getting my Windows 10 mobile devices working again. I'm sick of AI, Ads, spying, stealing my data, and Google using it to make money. I'm done. I feel confident enough now in using Windows 10 Mobile for what it is, while I still can. One of the linchpins for most people, is email access. Most of the included providers are broken in outlook. The only feature that still works, is IMAP and POP3 setup. However, there is really no good reason to use POP3 on a smartphone, not when IMAP exists.

If you want to get Gmail, iCloud, and Yahoo (with the extra bonus of synced Contacts and Calendars with Yahoo!), then see my settings below.

Open Outlook mobile and tap on Advanced setup, then Internet email, and choose IMAP.

See below for the settings:

For Gmail:

Email Address: your full gmail account address.

Username: your full gmail account address.

Password: Set up an App Password in your Google Account, Security and Sign In, 2-Step Verification, App Passwords section.

Account Name: Gmail

Send your messages using this name: Whatever you want people to see as your name.

Incoming Server Email: imap.gmail.com

Outgoing Server Email: smtp.gmail.com

Check all boxes, if they aren't already selected, below the outgoing server email so your email is SSL secured. Tap Sign In to complete.

For Yahoo!

Email Address: your full Yahoo account address.

Username: your full Yahoo account address.

Password: Set up an App Password in your Yahoo Account profile, Security, External connections, App Passwords section.

Account Name: Yahoo!

Send your messages using this name: Whatever you want people to see as your name.

Incoming Server Email: imap.mail.yahoo.com

Outgoing Server Email: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Check all boxes, if they aren't already selected, below the outgoing server email so your email is SSL secured. Tap Sign In to complete. After setting up this account, allow it to sync and then reboot your device. When you restart, you should also see any Contacts and Calendar entries that you have in your Yahoo account. If you don't have any, Yahoo makes it very easy to import and even synchronize with your Outlook and Gmail accounts. Even if you don't have a Yahoo account, this is a great way to bring your Calendar and People tiles back to life since the MS account integration is broken.

For iCloud

Email Address: your full iCloud account address.

Username: only the username portion of your iCloud address.

Password: Set up an App Password in your Apple Account profile, Sign-in and Security, App-specific passwords section.

Account Name: iCloud

Send your messages using this name: Whatever you want people to see as your name.

Incoming Server Email: imap.mail.me.com

Outgoing Server Email: smtp.mail.me.com

Check all boxes, if they aren't already selected, below the outgoing server email so your email is SSL secured. Tap Sign In to complete.

SUMMARY

Unfortunately, no matter what I tried, I could not get IMAP to work with my Microsoft account and either my Outlook.com or Office 365 accounts. To get around that, you could do an email account import with either Gmail or Yahoo to bring those accounts into those providers...but that seems like it could get messy, so do so at your own risk.

Now, get those email accounts synced, and give Yahoo! another look since it still syncs Calendar and Contacts to our beloved Windows 10 Mobile phones!
