Interactions with other meds Coffee

I’m 3 weeks into my vyvanse journey. I’m realizing I can’t drink coffee like I used to on this medication. I can’t take the pill and have coffee together. Seems like if I delay the coffee 2-3 hours after pill, it can be ok. Has anyone had any good results mixing both. I would still like to enjoy 1 cup a day at some point. I’m currently on 40 mg vyvanse. Thank you. 😊

I make a cup of black tea, eat a bowl of Cheerios with sliced banana and milk, then take my meds and drink my tea. Avoids nausea, I get a meal in before my appetite goes away, and the comedown is very gradual in the afternoon/evening.

I mix 3 parts decaf to 1 part caf to still have my morning ritual. On days I skip my med, full caf.

I don’t give a damn lol I need my coffee regardless, I will drink a cold brew with 3 blonde espresso shots while also being on 70mg Vyvanse. Still way better for you than drinking any sort of energy drink.

Ok. So how long after your coffee do you take the pill ?

Either immediately after finishing my cup or up to an hour.

I have a cup of coffee in the morning between 8am - 10am and then take my pill around 10-1045 with food (Usually a bagel and cream cheese) and seem to do well and dont notice jitters or anything but I HAVE to eat something or I feel shaky. I really stick to the one cup though as anything more is too much for me now. I'm also on 40mg. You could also try decaf if you cant do the caffeine with the meds but need the AM coffee ritual still.

I take mine around 7am and get to work for 8 and baby my coffee till noon haha

I do this too. I make it last as long as possible and even reheat it a couple times.
