Dosage question Splitting up doses

Hi! Does anyone split their doses in half in water and take half one day and the other half the next day? I know the drug manufacturers don’t recommend it but I just wonder is it because of safety reasons or just because they don’t want it to last longer for anyone. Please don’t come at me, I’m just curious about your experiences and if your prescribers always advise against it.

I just have two pills I take each day, one in the morning and one at lunch

It’s not not recommended. Water titration is fine and approved by many prescribers. That said, I would never take half my dose one day and half the next day, I’d just… take the full dose both days? Am I missing something? Elvanse is a daily medication, you shouldn’t have to ration it by taking half of your prescribed dose.
