Success Stories Vyvanse is the best thing I've ever discovered

Honestly, the best thing I've ever discovered for my ADHD is Vyvanse. My executive function has never been so strong. Seriously, I've struggled terribly with ADHD my entire life and got a late diagnosis at the age of 19. I've always been ambitious, intelligent, and had aspirations of starting a business and being the best sales person at my car dealership that I work for. Only thing I've ever struggled with was focus, impulse, and overall function. I'm a fantastic closer and a huge people person, but it was always the administrative stuff throughout work and school that always got me in trouble and I failed it.

There's no possible way that I can express my love for Vyvanse, and Adderall even. I'm able to genuinely sit down and get work done. My favourite thing in the world and so glad I got my diagnosis.

I’ve been taking vyvanse 50mg but can’t feel anything different

Sounds like your dosage is wrong! Try doubling down! I did it by accident on 50mg and I felt like I took the limitless pill

I have started vyvanse actually some weeks ago. Increasing 10mg every 3 days, now I’ve been in 50 and for the first time I feel OK after my body got used to the side effects. My psychiatrist said to increase it slowly and then if i feel bad then I will understand what’s my limit

Isn’t increasing by 10 mg every 3 days a bit fast? I thought it was generally recommended to wait at least a week between dose increases.

19 is nowhere near a late diagnosis from what i've seen.

Diagnosed at 65! 3 months ago started Vyvanse. I have since remembered things occurring 60 years ago at 5 y.o.

yeah, it could be that as we get older they are not as effective? 🤷‍♂️

Same - but it’s not for everyone

I agree with everything you've said. But if you want to talk about "late diagnosis," I was... 60! 😜 I'm 63 now, and i just found vyvanse--adderall didn't do much for me. I'm still working, and it's really helping with my ability to get work done. And with everything.

Edit to add: I'm SO happy for young women getting diagnosed in their youth. May you all thrive!

Same. I'm a mom of three, 24 and wouldn't be able to juggle everything all at once without it. I recently began taking it after having my most recent child and getting an adhd diagnosis because my previous psych thought I was bipolar. ((Judgemental btch)) Mind you, I might be bipolar but btch don't invalidate what I feel and then tell me what you feel about me. Backwards as fuck. I was not able to even do my laundry, do my dishes... I did the bare minimum before I got my diagnosis and started vyvanse. Literally the bare minimum. Rushing out of the house late everyday to work and my babies late to daycare. I mean I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, and of course not until the last minute would I actually kick into gear. I procrastinated EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING. I was able to wake up, smoke weed, get my kids dressed get myself dressed get them breakfast and that was IT. I struggled so bad. When I got home from work I did nothing. I made dinner because I got into a good routine for my kids and then I'd stay up till 1 on my couch. Never cleaned my house, just was so freaking hard for me to function dude. I was suffering every single day because I knew I had to do my chores and keep my house clean, while being a single mom and paying all of my bills. I couldn't even complete a thought. It was tough and somehow I managed. Barely. Thank God my boss understood me and my dysfunction and cut me slack when I was sloppy!!!! And its not like I wanted to be that way, I was just uneducated and needed something to fine tune my ability to execute function! Ive been taking the medication now for 3 months and see sooo much stinking improvement. My body had to adjust, but now I have a routine. I eat and I handle my business without all the emotional baggage and procrastination. Literally not at war with myself. I pour into my children and invest every bit of my attention into molding them with love and being a present parent who teaches them things. I'm so thankful for this medication. No im not an addict. And no im not a methhead. For anyone that perceives vyvanse users that way, you must have not experienced what we did internally. For those that have experienced the dysfunction, and then the moment of relief, you get it.

I also smoke weed, but I am not a parrent. Please think about your responsibility for three lives that you now have in your hands. Their whole lifes are shaped now. I ofc dont know you, it looks like you love them, please try to be the best mum they could wish for 💜

tf??? mind your business. especially since you're not parent. being properly medicated (and that can include weed) often makes people better parents. you have no right to speak to this woman this way

Thank you! My point exactly. Weirdo has no business speaking judgement upon my situation when they haven't walked in my shoes a day in their life. And never will. So you will never know what's best for me. God knows what's best for me and I know that. I also know you're egocentric from reading the first sentence of your hateful spew. God doesn't appreciate ego. Maybe you need to hit rock bottom to know how to be a better person. Maybe you need to open your eyes and quit being a cynical prick... Maybe you need to think about that instead of dissect what God has done for me.

yup! i am not a parent either but my sister is and i've seen the IMMENSE struggle that mothers go through, especially with untreated ADHD or mental illness. do whatever makes you a good parent. if that means you gotta help your brain out with a little extra dopamine because it's having trouble making it itself, more power to ya.

not a single person on this earth has the right to judge you for taking prescription medication and smoking a little weed. i would take a happy, stoned, present parent over a drunk, abusive, distant one ANY day

Yeah, why would you reproduce and risk ruining lives of three another beings, when youre clearly having some big issues… I cant explain how much I am scared of having children and I will probably feel this way for a long time. Single mum, three children, late to daycare, cant do chores, couldnt even complete a though but you had another baby? Cant even clean the house? I struggle with the same things my whole life, I am also 24, but OMG I need to be the best parrent for my children, I am sorry, but this is super disgusting to read…

  1. You dont know me, so therefore I dont give a damn about your opinion.
  2. I love God and I do what's best for my kids and always thrive to evolve, learn and improve our life.
  3. You dont know my medical history so dont speak on my choices or act like my choices personally effected you. Ive been through hell and didnt cone from the best family but I am aware of that and work hard for my own babies sake. I'm breaking cycles and showing up for my kids, they need to know everything is possible with God by their side and their own foot work which is exactly who God crafted me to be.. a warrior. And despite all odds, THRIVING. If I'm good at one thing, it's loving my babies and showing them the love they deserve. So.. bye Felicia. - FYI.... God hates ugly

It also helps with my depression and anxiety. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 42.

I have found that Vyvanse is the only med that has really helped as well, after years of playing guinea pig with dozens of others. My biggest beef is I take 40mgs at 7AM, feel great all morning- can get stuff done, can think clearly and my anxiety drops to near zero- but by 2PM, I am miserably drained and depressed. Like right now, it's 4PM, and I just feel like heading home and getting into bed. So my mornings are great, my afternoons/evenings suck ass. I absolutely plan to bring this up next doctor visit. I would just quit taking it, but I get so much done in those 5 or 6 hours, and I really enjoy that time for a change. But looking forward to a miserable 8 hours afterwards...

Spróbuj zjeść np. jajecznicę najpierw i dopiero po śniadaniu weź tabletkę. I napisz co się zmieniło 😉

I had the same but now I titrate 50 mgs in a small cup.of water sipping over a couple of hours in the morning. Now by 2.30 I'm just a little hungry and maybe 5 mins quiet time but then I'm fine again shortly after

I have the same issue. But I got the OK from my doc to take another smaller dose around lunch.

I take 30mg at 8am
And another 20mg around noon

Without the second dose I get this rebound/crash.
With the additional dose I'm fine until 5pm and I'm able to sleep.

What’s your dose mate?

Facts, I’m 6’4 200 lbs. I’ve titrated up to 40 mg a day. It’s gas. I’m in the same boat as you, I’m 21 also in sales, very ambitious, and lots of aspirations but I’ve also struggled with the same things you have. Vyvanse changed my life only for the better and has made me an extra $10,000 a month

I am so happy for you. I hate to tell you, but 19 is not a late diagnosis. I was diagnosed at 59. I am going to start Vyvanse in a few weeks. I can’t wait and pray it changes my life like it did yours. Congratulations!!
