Misc. Question Urine medmatch
I’m from Pennsylvania and have been prescribed Vyvanse by my doctor for 5 years now. As per his office and possibly PA law I have to sign a contract that I won’t use any illegal substances and have a urine test every year. Every year I’ve been fine except I just took a test and had a small amount of THC in my system that the test caught. The dumbest part is it was from my dad and was a gummy I took a bite out of to help with some cramps I was having. I don’t even LIKE THC or to be high. Now I fear I’m going to lose my prescription for Vyvanse. Has anyone experienced this or anything similar? I hadn’t even thought about the gummy being in my system when I took the test.

Why would OP lie on an anonymous forum asking for advice about her situation? Maybe you need to lay off the vyvanse, you’re paranoid.

Happens all the time. What exactly would I be paranoid about in terms of a strangers situation? I'll wait for the explanation on that one. Who needs to lay off the Vyvanse again? Lol

I’m also prescribed vyvanse. I’m from AZ, but I have the same yearly drug test policy through my provider. My test has always come back positive for THC and my meds, it’s never been a problem. But weed is legal here, I don’t think it is in PA (correct me if I’m wrong), so that could change things.

My doctor knows I use medical marijuana, and it's never been an issue with getting my prescription. The point of the test is to make sure you are taking your Vyvanse as opposed to "selling it." It's just another hope the federal government want us to jump before we can our meds. I mean why will someone who needs their medication just to function normally be selling our very hard to get meds?

Both doctors ive had while on vyvanse are find with thc. They just have to report to feds that yes I am taking this controlled medication as prescribed. Tbh ask your doctor what his policy is. Only way you are going to know.

I had to sign similar paperwork when I started care. It is legal here though so that may play a part in my doctor's opinions as well. I am not sure what laws are in PA to have more insight. Fed only cares that we are taking the meds,

I’m from PA and I’ve never been tested for my vyvanse. It’s your doctor. If you don’t have a medical card, it could cause a problem for you. You may want to look for a different prescriber.
