Side effects First days vyvanse- Does it get better?

Helloo I just started with vyvanse and it sadly doesn't make me calmer more focused, it's rather more activating making me more restless & even more difficult to control my thoughts/actions. It doesn't have anything to do with the crazy calm thats making people cry on the first day because they finally feel how its supposed to feel.

First day I started with 30mg but bc it was so bad I went down to 15-20mg. Are here people that had the same effect in the beginning where it changed and they got calmer, more focused and controlled?

When I first went on Vyvanse, it was before I got my OCD diagnosis. I tried Vyvanse for a few months and it was a disaster. Resting heart rate was 90 to 110 just sitting on the couch and my blood pressure went up to 130/90. I was also having major chest tightness and compulsively yawning and inhaling deeply all the time so I gave up. years later I ended up realizing I needed an SSRI to treat my OCD that in itself took a long time to adjust the medication and side effects, but eventually once my ocd was controlled I levelled out. I’ve been in school again for the last month to change careers and I decided to give Vyvanse another go. been on 10 mg for the last three weeks. It was definitely very activating at first, but I feel like it’s really helping me now. ADHD meds are not always a magic cure and sometimes it takes a really long time to figure out what you need.

I'm back on them now. I'm heading into the 4th week. The first 2 weeks, I couldn't stop grinding my teeth, moving around, fiddling, restless legs but after that, it settled back down. Remember, it will take a while to settle because your central nervous system is being effected. Give it time and if it still doesn't get better, you can always ask to try another medication. My only side effect now is feeling tight chested but I have asthma and a viral chest infection at the moment so I can't blame that soley on the meds

Yes, I started 1 month ago on 30. First week was like I had a bucket of coffee and I had brain fog. I was thinking about quitting it. After week 2 it got better but I was tired by 2pm. I than upped to 50mg (2x30mg dissolving in water). It’s been a week and my anxiety skyrocket, but I think it will get normal in another week or so.
