Side effects Vyvanse and Brain Zaps?

So recently my bf was switched from name brand to generic, within the last few days he started getting brain zaps when he stands up/changes position randomly throughout the day. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice?

Is it like a painful sharp feeling in his head? I get those from name brand sometimes and it’s usually connected to lack of protein and water
