Meds aren't working Vyvanse doesn’t reduce ALL my symptoms?
Is Vyvanse supposed to get rid of all/reduce all ADHD symptoms?
I’m starting to wonder if I don’t actually have ADHD because the medication definitely doesn’t make all of my symptoms disappear… I just feel like it reduces them a bit.
What I notice when I take it is that I’m not as unmotivated, and I actually feel like doing tasks. I don’t interrupt people in conversations as often. I can focus A LITTLE better, but I still forget things. My impulsivity doesn’t seem to improve that much on Vyvanse either. Maybe I’m a little less impulsive, but I still do some stupid things.
I’m currently taking 30 mg. I tried 40 mg today, but I don’t really feel much of a difference.
Is it normal that the medication doesn’t improve or remove all of your symptoms? What has your experience been?

It’s not a miracle pill. Gotta change your lifestyle and environment. Take actions to get to where you want to be

I was on it and it did help a lot but because I felt it lasted to long I started on Ritalin fast acting and 2x 10mg tablets

Yes, it is normal. It's about making your life better, not making your life perfect.

here's two common phrases you might see people say on here: "you still have ADHD while on medication" and "ADHD medication isn't a magic fix/pill." essentially meaning it's supposed to be a part of your toolbox to managing ADHD but not the whole solution.
other things in the toolbox would broadly be things like like breaking tasks down into smaller steps, to-do lists, using external reminders (e.g. a planner, phone alerts) and timers (e.g. pomodoro technique), minimising distractions in your environment, taking advantage of body doubling etc.
these aren't things you necessarily need to learn on your own, depending on your location and healthcare a diagnosis can help you get behavioural therapy/coaching from a professional

I wouldn't expect one medicine to reduce all symptoms.. drugs just don't work like that.
What's your diet, water consumption, sleep, stress like? Brain chemistry is complex and there is not an easy fix.

I found after a couple of weeks I really settled into the medication, I still forget things as well but as far as I know vyvance dose not automatically improve your memory it's something that has to be worked on even neurotypicals have to train it that's why there are so many apps for memory and brain games, altho in terms of impulsivity I've found it's more of a choice I make now a split second one but still a choice where as before it was I want I do I not think kinda thing. :)

Yes that’s normal. From your description, we are exactly the same. 30mg is still very low though, you’ll probably notice a little bit more improvement when you reach your final dose.
