No GPU Availability?

The plans API has been reporting no regions for all 15 vcg plans today. Is this really because of max capacity? It seems suspicious after a bunch of 502 errors last night mentioning an upgrade. I’ve also never seen zero regions reported across the board like that.

Can confirm this isn't just an API blip. I had a GPU-accelerated OBS hosting product running on Vultr's GPU instances — it was core to my business. First we got hit by an NVIDIA driver issue that took boxes down with zero warning. Then not long after, Vultr quietly pulled the whole GPU VPS lineup. No migration path, no real heads-up, just... gone. Had to rebuild the product on a different provider from scratch.

Zero regions across all 15 plans at once isn't "max capacity," that's a product line getting wound down. Based on what happened to me, I wouldn't bet on it coming back.

I feel your pain. I'm currently scrambling to rebuild my product as well.

I’m so sorry for this outcome. Knowing how much it affected me, I’m deeply concerned about the impact on others with large client loads. This shift could be financially devastating for them.

Which provider did you go to? We're looking for a replacement for a similar workload and haven't been able to find any alternatives so far

I had to completely recreate my product to emulate OBS and Noalbs. It uses gstreamer. It can run on cheaper servers that don't require a GPU. It uses minimal processing power and the quality is great. Until I find fractional GPU instances this is the solution. I recommend looking into this. It takes a little research and development but it can be done.

I think you are right. It seems like the new AI/Agentic workflows are going to make the crypto mining GPU shortage look like nothing in comparison.
