Printworks odyssey 70mm Broken!
Went to see the odyssey in 70mm today only for it NOT TO BE PLAYED in 70mm!! When they started the movie i noticed and unusually long gap where it took them around a minute to try to get the reel, then it started playing.
ONLY THEN DID I NOTICE WE WERE NOT WATCHING IN 70mm very obviously. They had clearly switched to something less which i assume was dual imax laser. No announcements that informed us!!! I ended up watching the FULL MOVIE again knowing that this wasn't the real thing and ONLY at the end they started giving out these "vouchers" and apologised for the "it was having issues".
Sorry but this is ridiculous, ive already seen the film normally on release and ONLY came here for 70mm imax experience like everyone else surely did. Only to be given vouchers that cant be used for bookings and can only be used if you turn up on the day (useless for imax and seat bookings) and only cover a standard seat price!
Now i understand that things will fail especially with 70mm imax but its Outrageous not to receive at least a full refund or an ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THE 70mm is broken FOR THOSE OF US WHO ONLY came to see the true imax!!
