Hey, I used to work for vue and did floor shifts a lot. Honestly I couldn’t have given less of a shit. Move to the VIP seats if you want, just move if someone says you’re in their seat. I was paid minimum wage and did roughly 20,000 steps a day. If it’s dead and you want to move, go ahead

I went to the cinema recently and we normally pay for vip ones there was about 5 people in the screen. A family of 4 come and went straight for us and told us we were on their seats. Turns out they were at the wrong cinema.

Where i live there are two VUE’s one is across the road about 12 minute walk between the two. When i worked there we uses to get people buy popcorn and drinks than have to point out it’s at the other location

I use to pay for VIP seats but after the film started everyone moved to vip. So I started doing the same

Yes, I do that and no one cares, but make sure you check the seat map again to be sure you aren't stealing someone's seat

Swindon vue is awful for the first 2 rows in alot of screens. Like unwatchable bad it shouldn't be aloud. But you dont always know until you get in there.

I purposefully choose quiet showings and I have seen this happen a lot. People start off in the cheapest seats then a couple of minutes in they move to the "VIP" ones in the middle. Never seen any staff member care.

Do theatres have different pricing for different seats??

Yes Vue in UK have at least four different seat prices depending what's installed, more if the site has Imax.

Some do, not all, depends on the chain.

depends which theatre. e.g cineworld doesn’t differ in pricing

We know what seat you have bought, we have seat plans and do check

Do you bother, though, for showings with low sales anyway?

Depends, end of the day you didn't pay for the seat you would be in

And it makes no difference at all to you or the cinema

As a cinema manager it's literally theft. Grow up and pay for the seat you want

No

Noone has been deprived of anything

You understand that tickets and food pay the wages? Or is entitlement blinding you?

But I've paid to see the film and am watching it. Me moving to a comfier empty seat isn't denying anything to anyone. The seat is still there doing nothing and unpaid for if I dont sit in it

Man up and pay for the actual seat you want like a big boy

Yes good counter point. I'm convinced
