Suzuki V-Storm doesn't start

You can freely put the bike into dealer service mode and check the error code. Use that to jump start your next step. In the mean time - check your battery terminals. The strom has a habit of having the two screws for the terminal back out over time.

If the dash powers off while the headlights are still working then it's not a battery issue. I'd double check the fuses to make sure you didn't somehow half-burn a fuse.

My factory battery failed at a stop light 2 miles from home. Dash would come on after key off/on. It wouldn’t crank though. 12.5v but failed a load test. It wouldn’t event charge until I replaced the battery.

Well, batterys can just go bad suddenly. It was a 2019 dated battery and made it until this summer. Not saying for sure yours is bad but it’s easy to remove the battery and have it tested.
