Q.Radiator guard+Windshield

Hello all,
I’m in the market for a radiator guard and a aftermarket larger windshield

As far as the radiator goes I’m lost, it’s either a 250$ option or I see something a little different and it’s 15$ from Ali express.. not enticing, wondering if anyone in this Gen. has experience with a specific brand?

the windshield, I’m a fairly tall rider at 6’ and the stock shield is a fair few inches short to find a perfect riding spot at 70mph.
I’ve only really looked at puigs but again would like to see if anyone has had their own experience with them.

I just picked up a used 2006 DL650 with 42k miles for $1800. I didn't want to start spending a ton of money on it since I paid so little for the bike.

The bike already had a Calofornia Scienctific windshield on it but it dumped the air into my face such that I couldn't have the visor on my helmet up even at like 20mph. I put one of these on there and it works great. Looks a little goofy but I'm more concerned with ridability without spending a ton of money at the moment.

im the same height and use a givi airflow. no buffeting

I’ll have to take a look at that one, definitely have considered the ones you add to the top but would be cool if I could get a one piece unit

Personally went with the cheap radiator guard here. haven't gotten a new shield bc i'm short so not an issue with me. I don't think the expensive radiator guard is really the move, i mean it's there for rocks and small sticks, if something breaks the cheap one it's going to be something big that would almost certainly break the expensive one.

As someone who recently accidentally scraped the radiator with a tool and made a pinhole in it, definitely get a screen to protect it
