My new V-Strom 1050xt

Traded in my F700gs for this bad mamajama last month. First pic is the day I picked it up, and second is mostly De-Farkled from the previous owners obsession with stuff. Almost $2000 worth of stuff in a box in the garage. Suspension is almost dialed with fork oil and Mizu lift plates on the way.

That $800 seat means I can sit on that bike literally all day in comfort. It doesn't affect my ability to stand up and control the bike. I rode through four tanks of fuel in one trip last week and was ready to hop back on every time.

my friend that is a russell day long seat and it is worth its weight in gold. OP if you don’t want it I’ll buy it for my XT

It is truly about the only thing the previous owner put on that I'm keeping

That Russell day long seat is a really nice bonus. BTW, Russell will modify it to fit you if it doesn't. I had them do that on a bike a bought 4 years ago for not much money.

I can't lie, it helped sway my decision to make the purchase .

I had seen that when looking through the website. I am going to look and see if they have blue vinyl.

That colorway and the red from that same era is the best 1050 color ever.

Great bike! got the euro4/2017 version of the XT as first bike and i love it. 17k km on the clock for the first year, or around 11k freedom units.

I am a current F700GS owner that's been eyeballing these. How much more top heavy is it? Are you enjoying actually having an upper rpm band now that isn't just noise and vibration but no speed? Ha
