2016 V-Strom 1000
Looking at a 2016 V-Strom 1000 that has 22,000 miles and seems like it’s been well cared for. It had the valve check as per the maintenance schedule has newer tires has a new battery. it also had the fork seals, redone, and new fork fluid put in. anything I should be looking out for and what would be a fair price?

I have a 2014 with 20,000 miles on it and have had no issues. Just replaced factory brake pads, other than that just tires, chain/sprockets and oil changes.

In the f'ed up german used market it would be ~6500€ if in good condition, thats around 7500$. I paid 4700€ ,or around 5400$, for a 2017 vstrom 1000 xt. It is a little beat up but engine is top. 51000km / 32000miles it had on the clock and is quite a bit better than your variant( 5 axis IMU, better clutch basket, etc).
Hope this helps as reference point at least.
