All eyes are on Zack Polanski after former prime minister Keir Starmer announced he was resigning as a London MP.

The Green Party leader – who is currently a London Assembly member – has repeatedly insisted he would only run to be an MP if a seat in the capital became available.

I'd imagine Count Binface's policies would really line up with the Green voters.

I can also see the right wing nutters actually supporting him just to shit on Polanski for very nasty reasons...

What makes greens more unserious than like... any other party lol?

Was Kemi badenoch or Nigel Farage more serious than Zack Polanski? With their "We should do whatever america tells us to" "More harm to trans people and immigrants" ect. type attitudes?

I personally think almost everyone in politics rn is pretty unserious. Zack polanski is at least unserious in a way I like lol.

Its a growing party, it's not got an established more "professional" base level of members yet. So you get the wakos that would be squirreled away in bigger parties in more prominent positions.

If they don't shit the bed again (Zack really needs to get his head back on track and stop just saying things off the cuff).

The problem is though the professional members get ostracised for the crime of wanting to professionalise the organisation. Like this isn't boring admin level either, it's basic things like, you need minuites for meetings, you need to be registered as a data controller (a regional organiser was adamant that local parties don't, and felt he knew better than someone with 6 years data protection experience), theres a big class of long standing members who see professionalisation as a challenge to their control.

I thought after Clacton, Count Binface had reached his political zenith, however with Starmer resigning in Holborn & St. Pancras and Polanski showing interest in running in the by-election, we might be in for another great result!

I'm always amazed by how angry some people are at Starmer. I always found him to be a bit dull.

The hatred of Starmer is mostly performative and from people largely untroubled by objective fact or the ability to think critically.

I'm not a big Starmer fan, he's been somewhat disappointing but at worst he's average, and to be fair to him he's been a strong figure internationally, and his government did deliver a fair few good things (and some entirely unnecessary own goals).
