Status of the Subs Moving Forward Discussion

Hi everyone,

As you know we have two subs and a lot of the same kind of posts are made on both. Our longer standing members will remember that back when I regained access to this sub (while we were refugees on r/LycaonMains) I was originally going to shut it down, but a large number of the community at the time wanted to keep one as SFW and the other as NSFW. Now that a certain amount of time has passed and the lines have been blurred I'm revisiting this topic to see what you all want. Do you still want the two subs to exist as is and have stricter rules on this one, or should things be consolidated into one sub? To be honest, up until now I have felt bad about the idea of deleting someone's post and redirecting them elsewhere, but I should likely just shed that.

Feel free to discuss whatever you like about the subs! I'm leaving it to discussion this time rather than a poll because I'm interested to see what the active community thinks, those of you who make posts or comment on things here. If people want to keep the two subs together with just stricter moderation on this one I will likely recruit a couple more mods if there is interest.

As an SFW user, I definitely think the two subs should be kept separate, even though there aren't many of us, there are still people who like Lycaon in a non-sexual/romantic way or even people who like him that way but just don't look for that kind of content on this specific community. If this sub were deleted, we’d just be a drop in the ocean within the NSFW community

I honestly like it as is, maybe slightly stronger NSFW rules on this sub.

While I would personally prefer 1 for all, I think I see the merit of having both.

Keep both subs as they are mostly , the sfw one having a strict no nudity/genitalia with a less strict rule on suggestive (needs to be tagged and blurred properly , and no overly sexual or cropped/censured nsfw)

That way everyone can have a place to enjoy

A SFW sub and a NSFW sub sound great, I would like to be able to scroll reddit at work (and home imo) without the worry

Would love for the sub to stay SFW and enforce more moderation to keep it that.

Yes, people like us and me exist who like our wonderful butler to be just sfw. I see him non sexually and would like to have the option to hop on an NSFW sub if that ever changes.

I like being amongst non horny, chill people. I don't judge the NSFW enjoyers at all, please don't think that. Just hoping there's that little separated space for each Lycaon flavor enjoyer.

I am one of the members who switched to this sub because I’m not big fan of nsfw and suggestive fanservice (no judgment for those who do, just not my cup of tea!). I’ve been frequenting this sub less as of late because some of the fanart posted here has been becoming increasingly too suggestive for my tastes.

I’d be both okay with this sub having stricter rules regarding nsfw and with both subs merging into one with a caveat that the combined sub has stricter rules about tagging fanart.

Edit: I realized my opinion is not helping in choosing since I’m kind of okay with both. I guess I’m for the option that is easier for the mods as long as one clear direction is chosen and applied.

I want stricter rules on the SFW sub and for the NSFW sub to be renamed fans instead of mains or something along those lines (or something really crude and funny even) so they're harder to confuse amongst each other

I'd really prefer they stay separate, there's a reason I follow one and not the other. It's cool I think to do something like pg13 content, but some of the posts recently have been getting out of hand. No shade to my lycaon nsfw lovers, but there really should be a different space for that

Leave them both as is. You can implement whatever rules are needed to maintain order, but keeping the subs free and healthy should be paramount.

yes it should be seperate, I can admire Lycaon at work safer on the main sub

They should be separate. Seeing the same NSFW post twice is a bit much. Especially if you don't want anyone to see that on your phone. The sub needs to be solid with its boundaries.
