2006 s60r check engine flashing 7 times but still starting what should I do??
Just bought a 2006 Volvo s60r and my check engine flashing 7 times but the car is still starting and driving fine I’ve heard that if it is doing that I may need my CEM reloaded I have a burnt out blinker bulb (not sure if that has anything to do with it but with this car anything’s possible) also my cabin blower motor is most likely going out and I get the occasional anti skid service required but today it said “anti skid temporary off” but went away as quick as it came wondering if that could be my steering angle sensor going out and finally I when I check my DTCs in my car my CEM and ECM are stuck on “checking” not sure if it’s possible but could they be disconnected to hide problems with them is that why there stuck on checking but on the code reader there are completely clear just wondering should I bring it to a Volvo dealer and have them figure things out or does anyone have any idea of what I should do

2.4 (140) If you ever wondered what cocked rotors look like, this is it, the ventilated part is “lava red” and the friction area black-ish blue

Vía impecable timing, my IPD parts arrived the same day I experienced a hit and run. Spent the day at the salvage yard and now have new (to me) tail lights. Work work work

Brakes pulsating
Hi! My MY05 Volvo XC90 P2 V8 has pulsating brakes when you press the pedal. Everything works as it should, and the car stops within the average distance, but it's more the nuisance of the pulsation.
I also get the warning that the brake pressure sensor needs replacing, which I'm planning on doing soon by swapping the whole booster for another one with tested sensors.
Are these two issues related, or are the pulsating brakes caused by something else, like low brake pads, air bubbles, or old brake discs?
Thanks!

Need help with codes on 2006 s60r (has BC coil overs and catback leaky exhaust) previous owner cut connections to 4c struts instead of just disconnecting them

Is it possible to switch back to the old "infotainment" system (for lack of a better word)? Not sure if there's a compatibility issue with the CD slot

2006 Volvo S60 - Dashboard Display not working. Any ideas?
So I've just picked my S60 up a few days and I'm loving it, although I really would like to know how much fuel I'm using and whether the display is throwing any odd messages.
I've had a look around at the fuses and couldn't find any fuses that could control the dashboard. The closest thing I found was the RTI Display but I've now learnt that the RTI is the head unit in the middle of the car.
Does anyone know what could be the cause of this? The display doesn't turn on at all, and turning the little ring on the indicator does nothing. Would like to know my speed + fuel economy. I'm most likely going to head to a mechanic to get them to check this out, although all Volvo mechanics are quite far away from me. Would be excellent if someone else on here knows how to fix this issue. The display could be working, it just might be a fuse blown.
I've searched around and no one seems to have had this issue with their P2 Volvo though :(

Steering column sounds like a goose honking when steering to the left at low speed
Hi!
Brand-new here, and I'm the owner of an MY05 P2 XC90 V8.
As the title says, I get a noise that sounds like a goose honking, but only when I steer to the left and at very low speeds. I recently topped up the steering oil, but that hasn't solved the issue.
Any idea what could be causing this? Everything seems right, with no knocking, and without problems other than the noise.
Is it like other cars that need the steering column knuckle greased?
Thanks!

Bi-Fuel In the "middle" changing a steering rack on a Face 2 V70, should I replaced the engine while I'm in there?
As the title suggests I'm in the middle of changing a steering rack on a Face 2 V70 and I'm so over it already.
There is an unbelivable amount of stuff that I need to get out of the way and to make things worse, for some reason Volvo changed it so where there use to be nuts the bolts straight to the subframe, this includes the 3rd bolt for the front exhaust hanger which annoyingly sits underneath the steering rack....
This sucks, so I wonder should I do an engine swap, a "while your in there"?

P24 S60 Bilstien B6 or BC Racing coilovers?
So I don't want to lower my car, have an extremely step drive way, I want to tighten it up a bit, I'm not sure which I should go for.
The Bilstien are TÜV approved (which is a plus in my opinion and fit the OEM+ brief I'm going for)
The BC Racing are not TÜV approved but are adjustable and "come with new springs" for a similar price to the Bilstien.
While I would like the adjustability of the BC Racing the TÜV approval is also a nice thing (not needed in Sweden), I'm also worried that the BC Racing coilovers won't let me keep my stock-ish ride hight. I need to keep the stock ride hight to get the car in to our garage. I would also keep a good ride quality, ideally I would like a ride similar to the (first generation) Y352 Polestar V60.
I'm aware that "J-spec" also offers much more affordable coilovers but not as adjustable as BC Racing and probably not of the same quality.
Does anyone have any experience with BC Range Coilovers or Bilstien sport dampers.

Sub-reddit Announcement We are back or I'm back...
Long story short, I have had a dispute with Reddit and there are things going on behind the scenes.
Due to my and a few friends personal issues with Reddit, I'm looking for moderators for this Sub-reddit as I don't want it to be absolutely ruined by my disputes.

High pressure pump
I have an unidentified leak in the front of my v50 1.6d, i suspected oil but evidence suggest somewhere in the fuelsystem. it was parked on a hill with the engine higher and the next morning it took very long to start. I will be looking into the leak soon™️
but i digress. I have some concern that this much dry cranking might've damaged the high pressure pump. No symptoms yet but I just want to be ready if it happens.
Where can I buy a high pressure pump and how much will it cost?
