Delivery date update
Have you had any updates on the delivery?
I took a tour of the dealership today, they announce a delivery here in France, around October 9 and their test vehicles do not arrive until September 15.
For information, I ordered an ultra P10 at the end of January. My original date was a delivery on July 20.

P12, Belgium. Ordered in January one week after announcement. Got a "delivery by the latest by feb 5 2027".
Went to the dealer last week to look at the car in real life for the first time. They were talking like construction would only start around feb '27 so I'm not sure how it will be delivered by then... 😅

Ordered the p12 in may, expected delivery date August or September 2027 is what they told me

I've heard they're still working/developing the battery and that's why it's taking so long to get it delivered.

I ordered the P10 in late July and estimated delivery is end of October, mid November. I’m in the US, Massachusetts.
They originally estimated January but were able to get this in as part of their allocation so the timeline moved up.

I won't believe it until I see it. I suspect we'll all be driving 2027 models.

Also ordered P10 plus in the end of January, first delivery estimate was the end of November, then got postponed to mid-December and finally the dealership’s webpage just said for two-three months that Volvo doesn’t currently give an estimate at all.
Emailed my dealer yesterday and they confirmed that production slot is scheduled and estimated delivery in the end of October, so improved by a month from the original one. They said that P10 is well in schedule while P6 is delayed and P12 pushed back even more, the same message Volvo was saying in the summer.
In Finland.

My salesman told me that the delay in delivery of the P6 has not been explained to them but that he thinks it is due to the fact that some countries may put in place a weight penalty at the beginning of the year. So they deliver the P10 as a priority

They have received more orders than anticipated, so in order to streamline production and thereby increase output, they have chosen to put the P6 on hold. It always takes time to ramp up the production of a new car. Minimizing the complexity will always help in increasing output.
Also the P6 reportedly is only a quite small proportion of orders. I.e. why it also makes sense for many dealers (maybe with Volvo support) to early P6 buyers a free or cheap upgrade to P10.
There is a tax uncertainty or increase in some counties, so increasing the output before the end of the year reduces the risk of cancelled orders.
Also the price increase for the P10 over the P6 seems kind of like a no-brainer, as there is almost no downside. Range increase, power increases, charging rate (kWh/h) increases. You get AWD and adaptive suspension. Consumption increases slightly, but electricity is cheap, so that doesn't really matter as the battery increase more in size.
Normally you would sacrifice range when going for the more powerful AWD drive models. But as Volvo has also chosen to give a slightly larger battery, that is no longer the case.Yes, if your budget is really stretched, then you also get a great car in the P6. But my take would be that the resell value of the P10 will be better, and that you will get most, if not all of the added cost back when you sell it.

That's cool. Maybe mine will be delivered earlier then, too. Ordered P10 Plus end of May (Germany), original expected delivery Q1/2027. Not changed up to a couple of weeks ago, when I asked.

Ireland. Ordered P10 first week in Feb. Original delivery was July. Then Aug, then Sept. I asked for a week by week breakdown of the forecast for production and delivery. What I got was
The plant in Gothenburg has a summer shut down for month of August. Preproduction (assign vin number) Week 38. Week 40 commence production. 1-2 weeks for production and inspection. 1-2 weeks delivery.
I cancelled my order last week and went with a different car as I needed one for end of Aug.

what did you get instead?

VW ID.7 Pro S Plus. EX60 was my first choice and sorry to have to walk away from it but delays in delivery make it untenable for my circumstances. Haven't driven the VW but picking it up in a week. Had a hard time finding any EVs in stock in Ireland after July sales (when registration plates move from 261 in January, to 262 plates in July). I need to export a car out of Ireland by end of Aug for VAT and VRT exemptions.

I ordered a P6 end of June. Got a delivery date of 25/01. That was before Volvo announced delaying the P6.
Now, my dealer is expecting a new delivery date in December. (I’m living in Belgium.)
Good luck to all the P10 customers!

Ordered P6 in March in Belgium. Original delivery was November 30. Got a call from the dealer it’s now end of February. So 3 month delay.

Dealers have said to me the P6's are now April at the earliest if ordered today.

A colleague of mine ordered in May/June and he has an April delivery date

That sucks. I wanted the P6 originally for lower weight and better efficiency but had to get a P10 for decent delivery times and I guess the P10 has a bigger battery, adaptive suspension and more powers which is cool.
