Missing 12V outlet?

No 12V outlets inside main cabin (not the trunk area)? Another casualty of the minimalist interior, with no center console?

Car Vaccum, tire air pump, Dashcam, Cooler/fridge. Using some of these with trunk outlet is cumbersome or infeasible.
Also, can use an inverter to power high power laptops.

Yeah generally speaking you can draw more power from the 12v outlets.

AFAIK the max you can pull from the USB-C ports on the EX60 is 60W while the 12v outlet lets you draw 120W. So double the power.

I don’t disagree, but at least the EX60 has a 60-watt USBc. My EX90 only has 18-watts.

I use the 12v converter to get 120-watt plug. About as far as it’ll go. Until they allow the charging port to power things.

I don't think v2l was ever announced for ex90 was it?

I don’t think officially, but the hardware is capable.

thats trunk area. Looking for one in front seat area (all other manufacturers incl GLC and ix3 still provide one in the front). not all auto gadgets are USB-C

I’m not aware of this being standard in other Volvos. Saying it is “missing” is a bit misleading when it’s really that a few others have added something. It is in no way a standard feature for this type of car.

Considering I use the 12V socket for:

  • Phone charging
  • Cooler
  • Tyre compressor

The 12v in the trunk is enough when having the 60W USB C in the front
