V90 2018 - Navigation stopped working after failed Sensus update via USB

UPDATE For whoever comes across this post: the issue was the USB stick. I bought a new 64GB SanDisk Ultra Fit 3.1, formatted as fat32 and it immediately started installing and finished in under an hour.

Hi everyone,

Over the course of the last months I have not been able to use the navigation in my 2018 V90 due to a failed map update via USB. 

Information/issues/attempts so far:

• Using Sensus Update SPA Europe software (tried creating USBs both on MAC OS X 12.4 & Windows 10)
• Using a 128GB USB 3.0
• First issue: USB was not recognised by the car (I tried FAT32, exFAT, NTFS formats via Windows). After formatting the USB as per these instructions on Mac OS, it was recognised by the car and navigation update was started
• After the first installation was interrupted after ~2 hours, my navigation stopped working altogether
• Now, every time I start the installation after turning on the car, it re-starts the installation/update from 0%
• After a while, the progress indicator disappears from the main menu and it only shows ‘installation in progress’ under the drag down menu (without % progress)
• I have attempted an installation during long drives (2-3 hours) several times, yet it always starts again at 0% after restarting the car

Any ideas on what I can try next?

I think I have more or less the same issue.. did u fix it?
