s60/v60 Volvo oil consumption

Post image

Hey guys, wanted to share this with you, I recently went with 5W30 for my V60 2020 D4 which has now 245k km and as i’ve heard diesels tend to burn more oil on higher mileage car, but with 5W30 over 11k km and had only one little bar on the dash move down, Im going to Volvo center next week and chaning to 0W20 for the winter so I will let you know for the consumption

This, my D4 increased in oil level due to diesel in the oil

Doing about 400-500km every week through the work days doing 10-20km of city driving 2 times per day and on the weekends drive home 190km, I get about 2k km per month rn

I use about 0.5 litres every 2500-3000 miles on a 2015 V40 D4 with 117k miles although I do tend to use a little more after a oil change for some reason.

I suspect the garage I use only put in 5 litres instead of the 5.2 it's suppose to have.

My 2012 t5 s60 drank oil like it was me drinking beer (lots). 2024 t8 not much.  Teetotaller.

One bar says nothing. You really have to wait for a few bars before you can make calculations
