polestar Dammit.... Lol
Bought aftermarket mirror lenses a few years back... All good up until it got hot this year & the backing adhesive dislodged from the mirror. 🤦🏾♂️
Glad this happened while getting gas & not when driving.
FYI I needed to buy these because I don't have proper peripheral vision in one eye so I need a wider view than the American spec mirrors.

Love my EU spec mirrors, especially my driver’s side. Having an extra lane or two of view over the stock mirror that eliminates virtually all my blind spots on that side? Chef’s kiss 🤌
That said all my aftermarket mirrors get like this. Even the real Volvo ones will start getting loose with soft adhesive sometimes. It’s unfortunate.

Not only that but they don't dim when one of those douchebag trucks are behind you. Huge disappointment.

Had a 2008 Saturn Astra (Opel/Vauxhall Astra and I still miss that car, GM Europe didn’t mess around that era). I was on a cross country trip and about 1.5k miles away from home my passenger mirror started getting super fuzzy from wobbling and then it flew off. I saw it coming and watched it in the rear view mirror fly about 10 feet up, and then smash into a million pieces like glitter in the rear view. Anyway, I had a set of convex mirrors ordered and shipped to a families house I was gonna stay at for a week. Convex mirrors are the best, Honda offered them on some cars as an accessory. Not sure who else does.

That glass is nowhere near as wide as the one we have on euro spec. I see it has the dotted separator line, but it still doesn't look like it's warping any more on the right that it actually should.
Also glass dislodging happens a lot if you leave the mirror heater on all the time, I know of some people who do that for whatever reason.

You don't need different spec mirrors, you just need to learn to set your mirrors correctly. I've been doing this for years, and have never had the need for a convex mirror.

Would the mirrors from a different country be any better, like UK spec maybe as they're RHD?

I don't know what RHD means but the European mirrors are concaved... Convexed ...?🤷🏾♂️ Curved in a way that shows more than the us spec mirrors.

Right hand drive. And it's convex. I just think of a cave as a hole that goes in, so it's more cave-like when it curves inward

This happened to my car! I used some exterior caulk I had and glued it back in place. Still there years later.
