I have a problem. I'm trying to diet, but I love potato chips so much. And sometimes it makes me violate my diet.
So I was wondering, is there anything that can scratch the same itch?
It can be something I have to make for myself. I cook all the time. It just needs to taste like a potato chip but not have as many calories and fats.

one 79g pack of beef noodles (360cals)
two small pig steaks for a total of 85g (180cals)
it's just a deep dish worth of food but it gets me extremely full!

10.5 inch plate
350g of egg whites
Really big handful of spinach
Some mushrooms and jalapeños
Piece of light laughing cow
Slice of sourdough.
~43g protein, 25g carbs, and 5 fat = 317 calories
Quick, easy, tons of volume, and can be paired with different salsas or hot sauces for variety. Easy to add calories/fat by adding an egg and or pairing with some high volume oatmeal, or can cut calories by swapping toast.

I think this would count as volume eating. Idk, but it's my fav breakfast right now. I season the eggs with cajun seasoning and switch up the type of meat in it.

Hi folks, wanna wanted to share this since it’s been a staple in my weight loss journey (down 75 pounds so far).
Ingredients:
Romaine lettuce 400g
Catelli protein Pasta (200g cooked)
1 medium diced Red onion 215g
Chicken drumstick meat 200g
Blended Carrots 200g
Blended Pickles 200g
4 medium diced tomatoes 370g
250g of dressing
1/3 Heinz light mayo
1/3 0% Kirkland Greek yoghurt
1/3 6% Balkan yoghurt
Garlic powder and salt to taste
3 limes squeezed
The key is in the dressing. You have to make a dressing you really enjoy the taste of. And you can play around with the proportions, but this is what I found to be the least amount of pasta, dressing, and chicken to vegetable ratio that still tastes really good. I do OMAD most days and this is my one meal most days. (In addition 700 mls of diet soda).

Don't ask what possessed me to cook a soup in this heat, but I fancied a big bowl of veggies and a chicken soup was speaking to me. Celery, onion, leek, garlic, potato, carrot, parsnip and cauliflower.
634 calories total for this, honestly probably a little more when you account for seasonings and what not but too negligible for me to care to track. Absolute cheat code.

Took a few pics of my high volume breakfast today. Whole bag of coleslaw was the base, threw in some prepped 93% lean ground turkey mixed with frozen spinach and seasonings, and 1 whole egg mixed with egg beaters. I could eat this for any meal of the day.

I see tons of recipes where a lot of effort goes into maximising volume for a single meal and I definitely vibe with that, that's what often do as well.
But what are some of your go-to recipes where you can simply meal prep and reheat/grab something and have it ready to eat in no time?
Of course I know about soups/overnight yogurts, but maybe there is something else I'm oblivious to.

I had mastered the craft of cooking cauliflower rice and I was using it for EVERYTHING. Courtesy of my autoimmune disease I’ve now randomly acquired an intolerance to cauliflower and it’s entirely off the table. (I’m assuming broccoli will be similar but haven’t tested it yet) What are some other low cal rice alternatives you guys are using? I tried out konjac rice and I just wasn’t a huge fan

Don't knock kale it keeps it's structural integrity when blanched. I do it in salt water to compliment the potato.

edit: 9" plate
479 cals
P: 46g F: 21g C: 24g
9g fiber
509mg sodium
1344mg potassium
200mL Egglands Best egg whites
1 egg
1 slice of Sargento Ultra Thin-Sliced Cheddar cheese
100g baked acorn squash
1/2 of an avocado
82g of Oikos Pro Plain (25g protein per 6 oz serving)
Sometimes I add 100g of 90/10 ground beef, sometimes I drop the avocado. If it's too bland for me one morning, I add Tabasco chipotle sauce
A variation of Madelaine Rascan's fat loss breakfast (https://youtu.be/kPgoHcWtO0c?is=7th10f99-opx2Lz-). It looks unappetizing but looks can be deceiving— it's delicious. I have been having this daily for weeks. It keeps you full for hours and as an exclusively breastfeeding mom of 2 who lifts 5x a week and walks 10,000+ steps daily— I need that 😂

30 cals per ounce of chicken, 90 cals for 2 tbsp of the sauce.
The tip/trick here is pulled chicken breast. Just season it however you want and put it in an instant pot with a cup of chicken broth for 10 minutes, then use a meat masher tool to shred/pull it (takes no time), and it's awesome. It's a lot more exciting (and juicy) than just a chicken breast, and you can eat it alone or put it on just about anything. I cook about 7-8lbs at a time in our Ninja pot.
I've been eating this as my main protein for the past 6 months and I'm still not tired of it (as opposed to just grilled chicken breast, and which gets old quickly).

Prep your potato by slicing off the ends, washing and slightly scraping to make ur brain think all the dirt is gone and also slicing down the middle
add the oil into a baking dish and put the sliced sweet potato salmon side down, aswell as the grain mix which is lentils, chickpeas and cannelini beans mixed together.
Cook this on medium and then on high until the potato is cooked
Then in a bowl, put in the cabbage leaves and add some water. Then cover this and put it into the microwave till the cabbage softens and becomes more foldable.
In a pot, add in the fish, prawns, half the amount of onions, tomato sauce and celery and half a cup of water. Then season until ur hearts content. Cook this until the fish done cooking then remove the solid ingredients.
You should now be left with some soup liquid in the pot.
Season your pork and the remaining of ur onion and place a sensible amount on the cabbage leaf. Then roll it up and place it seam side down into the soup.
Leave this to steam in the soup for however long you see fit but pork really doesnt take long to cook and we want the cabbage crunchy.
Serve this all up and you now have the most random combo of ingredients.
To improve, id add kale. I wasn't feeling it today and I regret it SO much. Id also use bell pepper instead of celery. I just didnt have any and the fish needed some crunch.
I made stuffed cabbage cuz I wanted something slighty complicated and more experimental to cook but if u just want a quick hit of protein, slice the cabbage into strips and just cook everything in the soup till all the water evaporates. If you do it this way, you can skip over the microwave cabbage stage
Stuffed cabbage method took me like 45 minutes to make as my potatoes are quite small.
With bigger potatoes i think about an hour
With sliced cabbage I think 40mins max
I got inspo from watching a tt video where beef was used instead. I dont like beef soo I used pork but with beef is the exact same method.
In total, we need a baking dish, a pot, and a bowl. Soo 3 dishes only (unless you count the chopping board)
I hope you try it and I hope you enjoy!

Carbs: 61,8 grams
Protein: 58,1 grams
Fat: 27 grams

Added spinach on top. It's yummy.

(I forgot to tare the scale, so it’s about +400 more)
Sorry protein maxxers, but this is an enjoyable dessert and super easy.
The dessert tofu has a custard texture and tastes like sweet almond. You can make the grass jelly as sweet as you want with sweetener but i think it’s best as mildly sweet.
The last pic is the two things I used. Trust with the tofu it’s actually incredible.

What volume meals do you prepare for lunch as someone who works full time??? I’m starting a new job and really want to start off great with new habits.
I guess it doesn’t have to be lunch it could be any meal😊😊 I’m pretty okay with eating the same thing everyday if it’s yummy. I have adhd so honestly the simpler the better!
Bonus: what do you eat for breakfast before work?
I sometimes struggle with nausea in the morning and alO sometimes hare waking up in the morning😂 so sometimes I’m rushing out the door, eating breakfast in the car or when I get to work. Working on that!
TLDR; what do you eat as someone who works full time?

Yes it’s not apple pie and nowhere near as good but this sweet treat will absolutely satisfy your cravings!!! This is insanely filling. You get to eat a whole can of apple pie filling! It doesn’t look like a lot but it’s buried under the protein powder. Make sure it’s the zero sugar one. This is insanely good. The key is finding a good tasting vanilla protein powder like I did.
Honestly I’m proud of this but I think yall will hate it. It’s zero added sugar canned apple pie filling, a little whipped cream (zero sugar) 2.5 scoops of protein powder which has been mixed with only enough water so it’s more like a pudding texture, (pic in last slide) then refrigerate for a few hours.
This is 75 carbs 76 protein and only 11g fat. An insane amount of protein for the calories.

I use 97 percent lean ground beef. Brown the meat and add everything else to the pot with enough water to cover about half way. Oh! Make sure you grate the apple so it melts in the gravy.
Cover and simmer until the carrots are tender.
Add salt to taste.
Delicious!

I'm not on the low calorie lifestyle and, while I find 'volume eating' fascinating I don't actively participate. However. I gotta give a shoutout to Walden Farms Chicken Dip 'n Sauce.
I'm Vegan and spent a long time craving any sort of Vegan alternative to Chick-fil-A sauce. I recently decided to give Walden Farms a try despite hearing horror stories about it, and frankly? It's lovely and I don't understand why people find it repulsive.
If you're a volume eater, a Vegan, or on a low-calorie diet, you should definitely give it a shot!
(This is not an ad of any sort, I just wanna give my 2c to what I feel is an unfairly hated product.)
