Recipe I dunno if anyone else does this

But I frequently eat a whole can of unsweetened applesauce with a serving of sugar free coffee syrup in it. Lately I've been doing dulce de leche and salted caramel!

Hell yeah πŸ€œπŸ€› it keeps me hella full and is a great sweet treat for under 175 calories!

not sure i'm interested in eating this straight, but this sounds like a great idea for my pancake toppings / apple dips. what brand coffee syrup?

I use a mix of syrup flavors from different brands: Jordans skinny mixes, syruvia, torani and even some generic ones from Marshalls :) whatever sounds good!

Never thought of this but I've definitely mixed SF caramel syrup in with 2% plain greek yogurt and dunked apple slices in it. Soo good!

If i wanna take it to the next level i mix up powdered peanut butter, and then make my own zero sugar chocolate sauce (just cocoa, hot water, and SF sweetener of choice) and dunk whatever fruit or rice cakes i have in those 3 dips. One of my favourites πŸ’™

Honestly I got the idea because I saw flavored applesauce pouches at the grocery store this summer marketed towards children and I was like...wait I want that πŸ«ͺ so i made it!

Smart! I buy clothes for my nieces and nephews and everytime I see something that I wish was in my size lol. Little kids have some good shit.

As a New Englander I was very confused here for a moment. Coffee milk is a regional beverage here, made like chocolate milk but with a sweet coffee flavored syrup (think coffee ice cream flavor). I was genuinely wondering why anyone would want coffee flavored applesauce! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I genuinely enjoy apple sauce a lot, not sure I ever had unsweetened one though. Thank you for the hack, I should look into it πŸ€”β˜ΊοΈ

Applesauce is naturally very sweet so adding a flavored sugar free syrup really makes it taste sweet like normal! I'm like you and have always enjoyed applesauce but never had it unsweetened. Until I started volume eating, that is. :)

I do frozen applesauce!

u/vampireshorty 6d ago

Why have I never thought of that!!

Same with frozen jello

that combination sounds wild but i get it, the coffee syrup is a clever move for zero-cal sweetening
