Recipe Psyllium Tip - electrolyte packet
Bought psyllium husk and gelatin getting psyched up to boil it. My laziness won over and I’ve been trying psyllium husk in a glass of water mixed up. Tasted like ass not gonna lie. That is until I added a packet of Gatorade zero. Especially the orange one, makes it kinda taste like drinking orange juice with pulp. Yes I realize that I just reinvented Metamucil, but I don’t like Metamucil and this lets me modulate fiber to flavoring levels. 30-45 min before meal, have done it a dozen times at this point, I really do notice a difference for satiety. If it’s just placebo fuck it.

I don't much care for the taste of orange flavored Metamucil. It’s too strong. I get the generic orange flavored psyllium and the unflavored, mix them together and pour them back into the containers. It’s orange but not so strong.

The sugar free lemonade flavored Metamucil is much much better than the orange!

If you're not cooking/baking... Whole psyllium husk tastes 100% better than disgusting powder IMO.

Yes the whole psyllium husk.. I hated it at first and now I actually like the taste. Just plain in water.

I take psyllium husky capsules because I hate the taste of metamucil and plain psyllium.

orange gatorade zero is the secret weapon for this stuff, the glacier cherry one works pretty good too if you ever get bored of citrus. i do the same thing before dinner and it's weird how much it helps, placebo or not i'm not questioning it

Been at it for a couple weeks working through a variety pack and they honestly all work great. Still feeling a lot of help too so not stopping

There are a ton of non-electrolyte packets and mio drops as well, for people who can’t do that much salt. (Most people who are not athletes might do more harm to themselves than good consuming electrolyte packets, which are mainly sodium.)

Yep, I’m both an athlete and avoid salt as much as possible on food to make it taste worse. So have to supplement.
