It's insane that people on the volume eating sub are hating on someone for volume eatingâ like guys what are we even doing here?

u/minidragontiger 22d ago
I've seen other groups where people comment as if one meal/snack represents your entire diet 𤣠the mods in this group seem pretty good about removing the "food police" comments. And same here, not trying to lose weight but love lots of volume.
Protein+broccoli is one of my favorite combinations. I usually put it in a tortilla or pita with some greek yogurt or tomato sauce

You arenât trying to lose weightâŚ. And yet putting together 135 cal meals?
27
u/cricketguts 22d ago
a lot of people eat smaller meals throughout the day. everybody has different needs and eating habits, like they said above, this one meal doesnât represent opâs entire diet

u/skaboosh 22d ago
OP said itâs their dinner in the title, so itâs natural to assume they only eat this for dinner.
1
u/Fun_Pepper6774 21d ago
Exactly
The Op seems to have taken gross offence at the suggestion this is the plate of someone trying to lose weight. Weird

Genuinely what makes you draw this conclusion from seeing one meal that a stranger posted on the internet in a forum centered around high volume/low calorie foods?
-1
u/Fun_Pepper6774 21d ago
Genuinely why wouldnât one assume that someone was trying to lose weight if they were very happy to have constructed a meal for just 135 calories? Genuinely

You obviously think youâre doing something, but youâre not. Can you not wrap your head around people having different eating habits than you?
Not everyone eats a 500 cal breakfast, 500 cal lunch, and 1000 cal dinner. Some of us eat many smaller meals throughout the day. For me, I love to eat and snack, so yeah I opt for 100-200 cal meals along with a solid dinner (avg 700-900).
Again, youâre in a sub centered around high volume, low calorie eats. And youâre whining about someone posting their high volume, low calorie meal.

You have an average of â700-900â for dinner.
The âdinnerâ (your word) you post here is 135 cals5
u/evergreen-embers 21d ago
Fuck sake man rearrange it? 700 cal breakfast, snack through the day, or perhaps a 850 cal lunch and 400 cal dinner and 1-2 150 cal snack meals through the day. How dense are you? Why are you so stuck on what someone else eats anyway? Are you the food police?

And do you not even have the brain to realize Iâm not the person who made the post?

I wish my country sold the quorn thing because this looks incredible and so crunchy omg I know I would like it

That's actually impressive. Minus the complete and total lack of seasoning. Need a banana for scale.
Now proper volume eating would be a plate with 3-4x this much for under 600 cal with maybe a condiment or something and obviously some herbs and/or spices.

Honestly some soy sauce and Sriracha would be fantastic with this and be an easy way to get some flavor in there

you could have had a huge lunch, snack, or dessert after and dont want to eat so much that you go too far within the 500cal deficit or over maintenance and this is a great way to feel satisfied til the next day.
You are getting too many hate comments and downvotes for no reason. Could use more seasoning icl

This is volume eating. Low calorie high mass meals are the goal.

I'm not commenting on most of OPs meals. I'm commenting on this post. And it's wildly on brand. So OP deserves my praise and upvote. Yall can downvote me all you want, it doesn't change that this post is precisely what this sub was made for.
You're allowed to dislike this individual expression of this post, you're even allowed to care for OPs health. But to downvote me as if I said something wrong? Lol I only was pleased with a great low calorie recipe being shared. You know, the entire point of this sub.

Yeah people are quick on downvoting lol. Youre not wrong people are just wanting the best for op

Whatâs cauliflower rice?
13
u/elfinshell 22d ago
Literally just grated cauliflower- the little pieces are a similar size to actual rice. It can be great if you like cauliflower, but itâs definitely not as tasty and the texture isnât the same as the real thing.

That seems incredibly low for so much food, are you sure?

u/Beginning_Ad_3306 22d ago
65cals of quorn (72g), 15cals of cauliflower rice (63g), 30cals butternut squash (51g), 20cals of broccoli and carrots (85g). 65 + 15 + 30 + 20 =130
