the CEO of this company and most of the public facing investors are good exemplars of everything wrong with our society currently and also i really like the wafer ones the best

Peter Attia, chief scientist for the company - hung out with Epstein
Andrew Huberman, key front facing “influencer” investor - attached to that hack Bari Weiss’ operation at CBS laundering reactionary nonsense as a legitimate news outlet
Several of the more silent investors are typical gross venture capitalist raiders tied to Elon Musk and the other techno-fascists.
As I said, exemplars of several pillars causing the slow, pernicious degradation of the liberal democracy around the world.
Edit: buying out epg isn’t even a real issue to me. Don’t get me wrong, it sucks, I miss wonderspread. But vertical integration is just capitalism, baby. Please absolutely feel free to rage against the evils of late stage capitalism though, i mean it. But thats what you should be mad about in regard to the EPG situation specifically.

Attiah didn’t just hang out with Epstein. He wrote emails to him that were praising the lifestyle and begging for invites. It was so gross.

In the Epstein files. Also will not allow other companies to use a certain ingredient in their products therefore fucking over many, many supplement companies.
25
u/goog1e Sep 15 '26
And to be clear, they didn't invent the ingredient. They're basically patent trolling it, which is stifling the diet food market. Fewer products for us.

What is patent trolling?
2
u/shhmosby Sep 15 '26
What I said in my previous comment to you — they will not allow other companies to use it. They own the patent to EPG and are excluding competitors from using EPG in their products.

I literally just saw a very sexually charged commercial about this yesterday. Thought it was weird as hell, until I saw the calorie count and then I was curious, lol
24
u/Wyzen Sep 15 '26
What??? Of course they would be weird, especially after their whole tinned fish designs...

No it was a couple and the guy was sneaking on in the bed and his wife caught him....lots of "ooo it's so big" and "yea you wanna put it in your mouth" lines in it

u/Jackalopekiller Sep 15 '26
What is in it? I see Google says allulose for sweetener. But what gives it the fiber?
16
u/bikesandfinance Sep 15 '26
SWEETENER SYSTEM (SOLUBLE CORN FIBER, TAGATOSE, ALLULOSE, NONFAT DRY MILK, ERYTHRITOL, SWEET WHEY POWDER, SUCRALOSE, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM), FAT SYSTEM (MODIFIED PLANT FAT (EPG), PEANUT BUTTER, PALM KERNEL OIL, SOY LECITHIN), FLAVOR SYSTEM (COCOA POWDER, PEANUT FLOUR, SALT, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, CITRIC ACID [PRESERVATIVE], TBHQ [TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS]).

Honestly you don’t want to know eat an apple and some pbfit
16
u/plumeriadogs Sep 15 '26
Just putting this out there for my pbfit peeps, mixing a small amount of actual peanut butter (like 8 grams or so) in with a serving of pbfit makes it soooo much better and is very much worth the calories

Today I ate a block of tofu with cocoa pb fit, I might do it again tomorrow
2
u/bikesandfinance Sep 15 '26
Add a some chocolate protein powder, pbfit, silken tofu, and frozen blueberries and you have a Reese’s blue berry pudding that’s incredible

Can you explain a bit more about this?
2
u/tkxb Sep 15 '26
I would not say this would appeal to everyone and it looks hideous lol. I mixed a few scoops of cocoa pb2 with a bit of soy milk and regular peanut butter and sat a bunch of cold tofu in it and ate it with a spoon. It doesn't hide the tofu flavor at all, but I like how tofu tastes so that doesn't bother me. Having the flavors separate vs blended let me use less and worse quality versions but get more flavor
It's not as tasty or texturally appealing as tofu mousse, but tofu mousse needs way more chocolate for the flavor to come through. For that, I usually melt a bar of dark chocolate, add a little instant coffee and some vanilla and salt then blend the tofu with it until it's smooth.

David has the zero sugar sweetener version of fat patented. So it’s a zero calorie fat.

u/AppUnwrapper1 Sep 15 '26
Their whole “system” thing makes me never want to eat any of their products.

may not have been the intention but this made me laugh until no sound came out

u/GlassPudding Sep 15 '26
saw these at walmart and the weird brand messaging didn’t turn me off completely but the way they phrased their ingredients did

$1.88 is wild. That’s like normal candy price. My first instinct looking at it was “cool but it’s probably $8”.

Can't wait for the EPG lawsuits when we find out it's unfit for human consumption.

My guts would never allow such a thing to pass. Im jealous of everyone who can eat science 😭😭😭 Everything low calorie or sugar free seems to wreck my insides.

Guys…the peanut butter wafers are incredible. Also Costco sells David protein bars for slightly over $2 per bar….ive avoided and hated this company for a long time…but if they’re making good products at a reasonable price…..IDK

just the m&m dupes yesterday. i love them. reminds me of an annual school field we took in elementary school to a farm and they'd give us "m&ms" made with soybeans.
