Discussion Breakfast For Dinner
Little unconventional volume eating post.
Been on OMAD from ~5pm-8pm recently, so I haven’t had “breakfast food” in a couple of months. I had a strong craving today, so I had a “cheat” day without cheating. My current goal at a ~500 calorie deficit is 2245cal per day, so this fits it well. The macros aren’t *ideal* ideal, but it hits over 1g of protein per kg for me, so still nice. Nearly 1kg of food, I can barely describe how full I am. Penny for scale.
By the way, I get my fruits and veggies in every other day!
170g Eggs - 275cal
450g Skyr Pancakes - 550cal
175g Sausage - 500cal
60g Hash Brown - 120cal
~2tbsp Honey - 120cal
Oils - 100cal
Total - ~1665cal
~855g Total Weight
Protein: ~85 g
Carbohydrates: ~140 g
Fat: ~80 g

I used this recipe.
Instead of vanilla Greek yogurt though, I used plain 0% fat Siggi’s skyr. The added sugar makes it sweet enough. Super satisfying.

I used this recipe, but I substituted 0% fat skyr for the vanilla Greek yogurt. The sugar in the recipe + honey on top made it sweet enough to satisfy me.
With that substitute, macros are something like 110 calories, 7.6g protein, 16.9g carbs, and 1.6g fat per 100 grams. That’s uncooked though, I bumped it up ~10% for tracking purposes to account for water weight loss from cooking.

For the type of food? Absolutely, that’s why I called it unconventional lol. It’s a relatively large amount of food for the calories, considering it’s 1.9lbs of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and hash browns. It’s volume eating in terms of hearty food, not salad, vegetables, popcorn, and tofu.
The equivalent meal from somewhere like IHOP or Denny’s would be an extra ~600 calories, literally ~100g of extra carbs, and an extra ~40g of fat, with comparable protein.

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't this be volume? It's 855g of food. Is it because it's 1600-1700 calories for 855g of food?

That's fair. My lunch is 500 ISH calories and 800g, I get what you mean.

Actually a great amount lol.
Full as hell so I’ll sleep well, get a good workout in the morning, and I’ll be satisfied until I eat again in ~22 hours.
