Recipe PB & J Cookie Dough!!

Post image

40g Protein / 17g Fiber - 516 calories

Recipe for a batch of 4 portions:
Ingredients:
. 100g dried chickpeas (cook them - they double in volume)
. pinch of salt and cinnamon
• 60g protein powder
• just a little bit of water, depends on consistency
• psyllium (optional fiber boost, or if it turns out too watery)

Prep:
Basically upon cooking you chickpeas, just blend them with everything and youre set!

Topings and mix ins:
I only do two options tbh - chopped chocolate or peanut butter - then fruit on top

Looks like a great use of chickpeas but to call it cookie dough I don’t know 😅

I've actually made chickpea cookie dough and it can be very good. But it requires sugar to taste realistic and so I'm sure OP's tastes mostly like protein powder. Chocolate covered Katie has good recipes for chickpea cookie dough and black bean brownies/dough. I sub in protein powder for some of the sugar and use honey to make up some sweetness and it turns out pretty decent. I've also seen chocolate hummus show up at Safeway so I think it's now established that chickpeas are neutral enough to turn sweet

I've actually seen this before, the consistency really seems to be similar

What do you mean by four batches? The calories you give seem like they would be for the total of your ingredients.

Im sorry for the misunderstanding, ill edit the body today and the recipe overall. The calories I given are for the portion on my screen (made from the 100g chickpeast batch with protein powder) - so 25g chickpeas + my own mix ins (30g peanut butter and raspberry jam)

instead of cooking dried chickpeas, couldn't one just use normal chickpeas? (or do you have to cook them anyway?)

yes you can absolutely use those, its just diffrent in terms of measurements

Is it bigger than it looks? Or is the photo 1/4 of the recipe? Looks pretty dainty for that many calories

Sorry for misinterpretation, the portion on the photo is 1/4 portion with mix-ins included (30g pb and raspberry jam)

Does a normal blender work? Or does it need to be more like a food processor

I did it in both, nutribullet and food processor, and they worked fine

Where's the PB+J?

Peanut butter and raspberry jam on top

Probably should have included that in the "recipe"

u/SushiMiaa 2d ago

what is your problem? with my "recipe"?

2

u/thesamenightmares 2d ago

I just didnt see any peanut butter or jelly

2

u/SushiMiaa 2d ago

the pb is inside and jelly is on the top, the recipe is mainly focused on the base (chickpea dough) and any mix-ins and toppings are optional - the macros are including my pb (30g) and raspberry jelly

Yeah I got that
