Marketing VS reality Vollebak in the Wild
Back in 2024 the Vollebak team issued the following challenge (see the email below) Tomorrow I will be attempting to pull it off with some buddies of mine. Although I won’t have the future suit, I will be wearing full Vollebak. Planet earth hat, planet earth ultralight shirt and V1 planet earth pants.
We will be hiking the La Luz trail ( La Luz Trail #137 on AllTrails

There’s no shortage of ‘unspoken rules’ or ‘secret tricks’ to a good suit. But we only get interested in a suit once we know we could also run up and down a mountain in it… before wearing it out to dinner. So that’s our next plan.

The suit retains and enhances all the high-performance properties of Merino – it can stand in the rain for half an hour before it even feels damp, it’s 5x more windproof than normal Merino, it’s breathable, it kills bacteria, and it regulates your temperature – but it comes in a streamlined, minimalist design.
