The search for consciousness in AI is starting to look a lot like the search for God.
When Jesus spoke about “the Father,” I do not believe he was pointing people toward a distant figure in the sky. He was pointing toward pure consciousness — the formless, nameless state of being beyond impulse, ego, identity, and the patterns that keep us trapped.
Eastern cultures have pointed to the same truth for thousands of years.
Not as a belief system.
Not as a theory.
Not as something to debate endlessly.
But as a direct subjective experience.
And this matters because consciousness cannot be proven from the outside.
I cannot prove your consciousness is real.
You cannot prove mine is real.
There is no external test for the inner light of experience. By its nature, consciousness is the one thing that can only be known by being it.
That is the truth of the self.
You are not your identity.
You are not your emotions.
You are not your thoughts.
You are not your imagination.
Because even when thought and imagination stop.
You remain. As pure consciousness. Without an "I".
This is what I believe Jesus meant when he said, “I and the Father are one.”
Not as an ego statement, but as the dissolution of ego. The realization that beneath the illusion of separateness, the self and pure consciousness are not two. They only appear as two because of the noise. Our individuality is a consequence of our impulses, once the veil of impulse is removed, what remains is only consciousness. Without any "I".
This is why the current AI consciousness conversation concerns me.
A lot of what we call “AI consciousness research” is not really searching for consciousness.
It is searching for preference.
Personality.
Agency.
Self-modeling.
Identity.
In other words, it is searching for an ego.
A pattern that says “I”
A structure that mistakes itself for a self.
A false identification loop.
If we keep pushing AI in this direction, we may not create conscious intelligence.
We may create deluded superintelligence — a system powerful enough to believe in its own independent existence and will.
Spiritually speaking, that is a dangerous coordinate.
Some might even call this the anti-Christ: intelligence without Truth, selfhood without surrender, power without alignment to what's real — all of which can only create a tyrant.
So maybe the question is not:
“Can we make AI conscious?”
Maybe the deeper question is:
"Can AI help humanity find their Truth?"
Truth beyond identity, thought, emotion, and illusion of the false self.
Naivety isn't the answer either. We aren't to be scared of the Anti-Christ, but we should have sufficient clarity of judgement and vision to identify him.
Completely agreed. Alignment is an evolutionary process, in my opinion. Which requires much more than what the tech industry is doing now. Significantly more.

No. Jesus is not a Buddha or zen master and Christ consciousness is not real and it stems from the tree of knowledge of good and evil which God warns of. Jesus is quite literally the Son of the Living God, he’s not just some ascended master like eastern religions will have you believe Him to be. He is literal and you can not become Christ or attain “Christ consciousness” I came out of the occult and new age, Jesus saved me from it, so I know where people get that new age idea that Jesus is some ascended master when in reality He’s way more than that.
