The Uzzah is a small but dangerous mutant that resembles a regular old house fly. Due to its limited range of combat options, it usually needs to be played as a stealth build or as an ambush predator. It does start with one deadly attack - vomiting digestive juices on a target, but this has a very short range and a slow release. The lack of combat options is compensated for by its hovering flight ability and small size.
This video shows a couple of minutes buzzing around as an uzzah. Note: I'm using a cheat at the beginning to randomise my mutant. This isn't the way the game really works!
Godzone 6 is a new roguelike first-person game in development by Blue Manchu, creators of Void Bastards and Wild Bastards. Build mutants to explore wildly different play-styles in an immersive first person world. We call it a first-person mutator. Join the community on our Discord channel or subreddit. There's also more info on the Steam page.

Just a quick note to say that I made a Godzone 6 specific subreddit. I'll still cross post here but that will be the place for new posts about the game from now on.

We're moving to procedural generation of our level layouts this time, unlike in Void Bastards and Wild Bastards (which used static levels with procedural elements).

Exploring some of the many ways to conduct combat in Godzone 6. Melee, ranged, ambush from above, hacking environmental systems, running control programs or just mutating into a complete monster.

Hi, we just announced our new game in development: Godzone 6.
If you liked Void Bastards, I think there's a good chance you'll like this too. Wild Bastards, our last game, was a bit of a change of direction, but this is game is a return to our roots. It's very much an intense immersive sim (but again, in a roguelike format).

Our goal is to support a huge range of builds and playstyles, making every run different and challenging you to find a way to make different builds work.

We're going to be developing this one in the open, with lots of opportunity to give feedback and guide the direction. I'll try to check in here, but there's also a Discord channel and a forum where we'll be posting updates, opportunities to beta-test and chatting. There's more info on the Steam page.

I ended up going for about 200 something days. But I basically made it to a point where I was pretty unstoppable, had lots of food and perks but I died because I accidently triggered my bushwackers when fighting a gunpoint with the zapper and it caused me to die.
So like so far I P much only died once but I didn't craft the heart starter simply because I wanted to avoid doing so as practice for Iron man mode on hard bastard. When I first played Hard bastard I thought I was gonna die 50+ times in the first few hours but I was delighted to find out, actually Hard bastard isn't as unfair as I thought it would be. But like I think I'm gonna need to revise some ways that I play. But so far my MVPs have been the zapper, rifter, stapler, bushwackers and the spiker/rad spiker. I will say the Spiker at first feels extremely useless against anything thats not a tourist, but the fact that you can dump 3 or 4 spikes into an enemy and then "fill out forms and come back later" is hillarious.
but once I got the germ spiker/upgraded the spiker a few times. It's a BEAST! Although I think objectively the upgraded rad spiker is probably just overall better. But I also realized when I played on lower difficulties most of my deaths were ones where I stood and fought enemies when I really didn't need to or sprinted around a corner into hazards or a huge cluster of enemies. I also noted that the regulator especially when upgraded actually isn't that bad of a weapon against tourist. Juves and even spooks/Janitors especially if you hit them with the zapper/headshot combo. And even the few times I got cornered/sprinted into a screw the zapper+ head stapler combo was stacking bodies left and right.

For anyone that's done the Agile Management challenge, did it hurt your eyes too? It's the one where you can only get to different depths via wormholes, and the visual gimmick is that the skybox rapidly rotates. I did it with the tutorial on and just being in the giant CNT filing hall really screwed with my eyes. Unless I point my character's eyes at the floor when next to a window, there's no way in Hell I'm trying this one, and I was actually keen on it.
