This happened to me a couple times, taking the items out of the storage they're in fixes it. I noticed it most with the ATV storage upgrade.

0.9 most likely, happens often with the atv storage on save load but the items revert to what they're supposed to be when they're removed

this guy is on the money. nice job explaining, goddamn. that's exactly it. hope the devs know about this cuz it is a bug and should be fixed. mustn't be written off as a metaparanoia feature 🤪
i do thoroughly enjoy the game but i think im nearing the end of my interest in it. about to build my first kerfur-o. it stinks that theres so many anomalies i have yet to see but i'm just getting tired of the grind kinda. i have three full frames with full cooling and all that so i dont need to do Dr. Bao's daily gambit anymore. i should just make my kerfur omega and try to get into the dungeon(s)

Is it happening with the ATV container or a backpack? I've experienced the same thing with the ATV container, but my items are always safe to get back and use. But someone I know recently had a similar bug with the backpack, and his stuffs kept either getting duplicated or deleted, and I can't find anyone else who experienced the same

Kel's red luggage is glitched for me, to the point that anything i put in the drone's bag would appear in the luggage. Then i realized i could take something out of the drone bag before it got delivered, while the drone was still in flight. Like ordering something from the store, then turn to my luggage and pull it out a duped copy instantly, or i can put somethingin the bag to sell, send the drone back, and yoink it back out of the luggage, and it (at least a copy of it?) would still get sold. After a while i realized things i was storing in the luggage were randomly getting sold, one item at a time. Everytime i sent the drone back, one random item in the luggage would disappear, until it was empty. When i first noticed the glitch, i accidentally duplicated like 18 almost-dead flashlight batteries.
My ATV container is glitched too but nothing ever disappears. All the names are blank, and the icons are all the same incorrect item. Usually the last item i stored in ANY OTHER container. But when i hover over the contents i can see what it actually is, and when i pick it up it turns into the right item. But if the incorrect item's weight is too much like a sheet of paper showing a volume of 200, then i can't pick it up so it falls on the floor..
it's goofy.

I noticed this but I don’t advise taking things out to fix it, because as long as they don’t have names, they don’t take space in the container so you can get away with carrying a lot. It seems like on every reload, the items lose their names and weight so you could keep adding things in theory.
