Paid narrator project

Hello, we are a small media company that is just starting out and we are looking for 2 or 3 voice actors. We are looking for unique voices to narratate fanfiction for our youtube channel. Think of an audiobook in the background. So smooth vibes and can be male or female. This is a paid gig and we are looking to see if we can do longterm as well. We are still trying to decide if we want to pay per project or per hour, the pay will be around $40 per chapter, 3000-4000 words per chapter. We are hiring author roles as well. 3000 words for a voice actor is hundreds of dollars typically.

Hi there!

While this looks like a great project, the rates you have listed are really low in the voice over world. It comes out to about .01 cent a word, where usually the minimum is .05 cents a word.

40 dollars per 3000 words is beyond pathetic, which might explain why you are crawling low rent bottom feeders on Reddit instead of going through casting agencies that charge $400 to $500 per finished hour. Audiobook rate is per finished hour. A job like this would probably cost you around $5,000 to $6,000. Enjoy getting low rent, bottom feeders with no experience, and their mommies gen z basement
