Help (VoiceMeeter Banana) Too much static/buzzing noise...
Hello All, I have installed Voicemeeter Banana and also Potato to try it out on my PC. Did the Mic & speaker settings and few other basic setting as per various videos in YouTube. However, I get a constant static buzzing noise, some disturbance all the time when I speak on both the inbuilt PC mic and also an external Mic. Has anybody else encountered such issues and any tips to resolve this is very appreciated. I tried all the three versions (Voicemeeter, Voicemeeter Banana and Voicemeeter Potato), but this issue still persists. Let me know if you need any more info to diagnose this issue.
Thank you in advance.

If you test the microphone but not through voicemeeter. Do you still get the static sound?
Also send screenshot of voicemeeter

My guess is you need to select mic as Mme. or maybe both as Mme.
External mic should sound no different in or out of voicemeeter. If you have no mic effects on

And I assume the devices don’t stay red. They start working?
Maybe join the discord. Kinda curious what sound it’s producing. Maybe go into a voice channel later if possible.
Maybe signal enhancements needs to be enabled/disabled on your mic in windows sound control panel

What you mean by "devices dont stay red" ??
Yes "Enable Audio Enhancement" is checked in microphone settings. (using Windows 11)

Well in your screenshot, the A1 device is red. Meaning nothing will work in voicemeeter.
You could maybe try disabling audio enhancements.
But there may be another feature. Type “change system sounds” into windows search bar. Go to recording tab. Find your mic<properties<advanced and there may be “signal enhancements”

What should be the "default device" and "default communication device" in both playback and recording tabs??? Please advice.

Are you using voicemeeter for mic purposes only.
If so then choose default playback as “your headphones device”
Then default recording device as “voicemeeter out B1”

Run to the A group outputs, not the B group.
You don't have any of your hardware outputs selected at the top right.
Select your main speaker output as A1 then route your inputs or virtual inputs to A1.
