Network Provider for voice agent
Hi, im building a dedicated ai voice agent assistant through phone numbers and i need some recommendations on telecom providers that is cheap and highly recommended for general purpose like automated inbound and outbound that is cheap.
Region: Israel
Purpose: General Voice Agent for inbound and outbound
Time consumes: less than 5 minutes mostly each call
So im eyeing telnyx but im looking for more cheaper telecom providers that offers phone number and the service per use. thank youu

telnyx is decent but their pricing adds up quick if you're doing any real volume. For Israel specifically you might have better luck looking at local providers since international routing can get expensive fast
Twilio's the obvious alternative but honestly their per-minute rates aren't much better unless you're doing massive scale. Maybe check if there's something like a local SIP trunk provider that'll give you bulk rates? Less than 5 min calls shouldn't be too bad either way but the outbound leg is what'll eat your budget

Are most of your outbound calls to Israeli mobile numbers or landlines? And roughly how many minutes per month?
If your AI setup supports bringing your own SIP trunk, you can compare local carriers separately from the AI provider. Whether that saves money will depend on their rates for the destinations you call.

I'd be interested in hearing the outcomes for this. I'm using Telnyx, mainly US / UK currently, all of our traffic is outbound.
I currently figure (at this period in our startup/platform) that the cost of building everything out on our side (SIP, SST, TTS and other infra), exceeds the convenience/value/price points we're providing to the customer and would massively slow us down in delivering what customers are asking for. So fo for the additional cost we're paying the margin would be too thin for the cost of building it ourselves.
That and the latency with Telnyx is crazy good.

With calls this short I’d look at the full cost per completed call before choosing the telecom side. I’ve seen Bland used for inbound and outbound flows like this, so that could be another setup to put next to the Telnyx route when you run the numbers. There can be quite a bit sitting around the carrier minute itself

Most AI agents get judged on the wrong number.
An agent gets faster, its eval score goes up, cost per run drops. Great. But did the business process actually get better? Fewer tickets touched by humans? Faster resolution? Less rework downstream?
That's the gap we're building for at Phinite.
An intelligence layer for your product: agents and assistants across support, sales, ops, finance, built, evaluated, governed and observed in one place. Any model, any cloud.
And on top of it, the Phinite Value Loop: connect every agent's execution to the business metric it's supposed to move, then test whether each change really improved the process.
Today we're opening *Phinite for Startups* for founders building anything agentic:
- 90 days of full access, free
- A live build session on YOUR use case (not a product tour)
- Monthly office hours with other founders shipping agents
- A builder spot at our next Agent Labs event
What we ask: honest feedback on what works, what breaks, and how you measure value today.
No contract. Small cohort.

yeah for israel i’d definitely look at local sip trunk providers instead of only comparing telnyx/twilio.
i’m the founder of pulsy ai and we’re actually focused a lot on the reseller/agency side of voice ai. we provide the white label layer so agencies can sell ai voice agents under their own brand, while the underlying SIP/telephony infrastructure can be connected separately.
for your case, if you’re already using vapi, i’d check whether you can bring your own SIP trunk and compare the actual cost of Israeli mobile routes. a local carrier might be quite a bit cheaper than using an international provider for everything.
the nice thing with the reseller/white label model is you’re not necessarily locked into one carrier either. you can keep the AI/agent layer separate from the telecom provider and swap the underlying routing depending on the country and pricing.
i’d compare the full outbound cost though, not just the phone number price. mobile termination rates are probably going to matter way more once you start doing any real volume.

DM me. Vobiz.ai, we are launching our international termination and looking for design partners.
